Blasted Lands
Located south of the Isthmus of Geltamar, and protected from the Sea of Storms by the towering Kinsalavi Mountains, the Blasted Lands represent some of the most inhospitable deserts on all of Tarien. While the Narmouth and Carbothian deserts receive enough sporadic rainfall to support seasonal blooms of flora, the Blasted Lands have no such boon. Furthermore, there are no great rivers flowing through these lands offer corridors of a palm, date, and fig trees like one finds in the deserts further north. Instead the blasted lands offer nothing but reddish brown rocks and stones for miles in all directions. Even along its fringes, up against the Eldorian Sea, few signs of life beyond the skeleton of a goat or gazelle that travelled to far west can be found.
That is not to say that great explorers have not tried to find the ruins known to the Dharja as Fahrom's Tomb, reputedly located deep within its miles of heat and rock. While many Dharjan religious zealots and even on Eldorian expedition has attempted this quest, none but a single Dharjan have ever returned.
