Jungles of Ghana

Deep in southern Tarien, just east the Salt River and north of the tepid waters of the Sintarien Sea, the lush vegetation of the Jungles of Ghana appears like a wall of green and black to passing ships. Few have pulled their ships ashore to see what lies beyond this wall since Hans von Ghana's initial expedition to chart the southern sea in the mid sixth century. In fact, after hearing about the Yatian explorer's encounters with terrifying dinosaurs of land, sea, and air, none have done so without the encouragement of Jendredi's fury; the wrecked hulks of a half-dozen ships the only sign of Human visitation along the white sand beaches of the Salt River. Even Ghana's tales of mysterious ruins, crumbling pyramids of great cut stones, long overrun by the jungle vegetation, have not piqued enough interest from adventurers and historians to assemble a second expedition. The tales of massive yellow eyes and foot long teeth that come from those few sailors lucky enough to have been rescued after a wreck and fear of whatever strange leviathan that patrols the Salt River causing them have been enough to dampen all curiosity. Ass such, Ghana's claims of an ancient civilization have gone unsubstantiated and scholars are left with nothing but speculation about what mysteries from a previous age (most believe it to be the Age of Sun continue without much basis in fact.
