Gruegrick's Woods
Stretching along the western shores of the Gulf of Kharl, where the swirling winds bring ample rainfall in the spring and autumn, the forest consists mostly of spruce and fir. Named for the famed Khadric explorer, Gruegrick Lodestone, it once contained ample stands of ash and maple. With Gregrick's research into the properties of various woods, however, a run on hardwoods occured in the the 16th Century, BC, denuding the forest of these trees. And while a few stands have regrown over the millenia, they are still the exception.
