Resource Points & Purchasing

Resource Points
Resources
One can generate Resource Points (RP) to acquire goods and services through Three methods:
Performance  - By doing something they gain a reward.
You gain an agreed upon number of Resource Points in exchange for completing the agreed on action. For Astartes characters in normal service, this value should be assigned by the GM in the Kitting Up phase of their missions.  Relics should be handled per the normal rules for disbursement.
Recovery - By selling off captured items or crafted equipment.
Recovered items, unless illegal, can be readily converted to 50% of their AP value.
Damaged items, unless illegal can be readily converted to 25% of their AP value, but not more.
if one wishes, one may attempt an opposed Commerce test, and gain +5% to these values per degree of success.
Benefice - A regular stipend from an interested party for membership in their organization.  Performance or action expectations are included.
To gain the benefit of this agency one needs two factors: A Patronage Talent (Associate, Good Reputation or Peer) and the Benefice Talent (to unlock some cash payout).  The GM should set an appropriate periodic payout cycle, annual, monthly or what ever.
Associate - Gain 3 x Influence Bonus in RP per period.
Good Reputation - Gain 6 x Influence Bonus in RP per period.
Peer - Gain 9 x Influnce Bonus in RP per period.

Spending Resource Points...
One may use ones resource points in once of 4 ways.
Expenses - Generally the cost of living per Period needs to be paid in once lump sum, one time.  This is calculated at 1 RP per person, per period (usually monthly).
Minions or allies that have upkeep cost 1 extra Resource point per month.
Purchases - One may buy items for a given RP cost, determined by their availability or Scarcity in the environment or world you are in.
The chart is constructed for an Imperial World, being on a more technologically backward planet drives the scarcity to a less common tier, being on a forgeworld would make it more abundant.
If the item is illegal where it is not normally, then its scarcity is against increased. Repairs -
Events of note -
Bribes! -

Profit Factors -

All of these sources contribute to a Resource Pool.  It has been found best to track this by Player, after paying off group assets and associated upkeep.
Given the diversity in the unified structure, players in my games generate revenue from many sources, all of which add up to Resource Points. They can gain more from Recovery- recovering significant items (sell that LasCannon/Multilaser etc. Loot like its Fantasy), from Performance - performing well for contact/allies or Benefice - having a long term benefactor who provides a stipend. It all ends up in a common pot The Resource Pool from which all PCs can draw their Expenses, Purchases, Repairs, Events of Note or even Bribes!
  Generating Resource Points:
Recovery - This is the sale of things taken from others. You should be able to recover half the listed value of the goods, if a player attempts a Commerce or Charm test they can gain 10% of this value additional for each Degree of Success attained on the test
Performance - This is the reward you get for completing assignments or contracts or such. For Astartes Characters this is a GM assigned Value for kitting up during the pre-mission cycle. It does not account for Chapter Relics. Those are assigned as per the Deathwatch core rules. Benefice - You may be lucky enough to gain a benefactor, or patron who will give you a stipend (or sugar daddy for those interested in that). These come in three levels - based on talents purchased (and earned through roleplay)
Benefice - You may be lucky enough to gain a benefactor, or patron who will give you a stipend (or sugar daddy for those interested in that). These come in three levels - based on talents purchased (and earned through roleplay) - Associate, Good Reputation and Peer. Each for a (Specific Patron/Agency). These are combined with the Benefice talent to generate a payment each cycle (defined by the GM, monthly is usual).
Associate (Specific) - you get 3 x Influence Bonus in Resource Points each Period.
Good Rep. (Specific) - you get 6 x Influence Bonus in Resource Points each Period.
Peer (Specific) - you get 10 x your Influence Bonus in Resource Points each Period.

Group Standing:
This is the current level of satisfaction your benefactor has in your performance. If you have done work for them regularly, it will be high, and should lead to options to buy improved standing talents.
This is determined by your GM, and may result in additional bonuses, or other gifts or services being made available over time.

Spending Resource Points:
Resource points may be spent on:
Expenses, Purchases, Repairs, Events of Note, Bribes, Conversion to Profit Factor
Expenses - basic living costs for you and yours.
These are simple - 1 Resource point per PC per month and 1 extra per Minion or associate (also per month).
Even Machines require power, oil, light and such. Exotic Minions require exotic foods. Both 1RP.
Purchases - Heroes, Anti-Heroes, and Average Joes like to have tools.
The Purchase options are explained below but derive from the scarcity of the item, its quality and to a lesser extent the allegiance one has to the current owner - Allies give more/better things, Enemies don't care after you put a bolt round in them (Five Finger Discount).
Repairs - You Break, You Buy
You can fix items that are damaged for 1/10th their basic price. It might be worth fixing stuff for sale under the Recovery rules.. Events of Note - For those who have a desire for something special, or who want extra short term support, these ideas may be available for you, with GM approval, at the cost listed. They are expensive, and require a level of commitment to the related organization shown by Talent level.
Bribes! - You pay for access or social services...
Your players will want to pay off people for access to things, to get out of things or to get a bonus to that one vital test. The GM can calculate the level needed to give a bonus to automatically pass a key test. Remembering that 1RP can represent a great value in some worlds, and not so much in others (Feral vs. Forge worlds).
Profit Factor
When gaining Profit Factor from transactions, each PF gained grants a one time bonus of 100 Resource Points to the group Pool. This represents that the bulk of the money is retained for Starship maintenance, cargo purchases etc.
Each 1000 Resource Points gained can be converted into 1 PF.
