A Dark Heresy 2 Era 40k Subsector of the Imperium, that finds itself wracked by misery and inhumanity, on the wrong side of the Maelstrom, after its sector-capital world was consumed by the warp storms.
The Ecclesiarchy now reigns supreme in a divided sector -
The faithful are split between the Unionists - man can rise to become one with the Emperor vs. The Seperatists - Man may rise to sit at the right hand of the Emperor.
The Hordes of Chaos have subsumed the worlds closest to the Maelstrom, and look to spread.
The "Free" worlds have chosen independence, but are at risk of both the Horde of darkness, or the Ork Hordes spreading from the Galactic east.
