Mucube Complex

A weird suckadelic vortex that merely acts as the normal space-time; but with one temporal dimension manifesting as an accessible spatial dimension.
Trespassers simply go forward and backward in time as simply as moving diagonally, up and down through the complex.
— caretaker of Cloche Station

Purpose / Function

The mucube complex is a containment area for the most dangerous entities within Manidweepa.

Entries

Pyrolysis

The only entrance into the complex is a deceptive gem-like protrusion embedded into a random wall inside the Cloche Station. It is a 3m tall oval with a bronze rim and smokey shine. The pyrolysis does not allow light, sound or magic effects through it, nor can anyone see anything other than the red and grey smoke waving inside it.

Denizens

Prisoners

The mucube detainees rank amongst the most powerful Locals, Natives and Alien with zetetic powers.   Those held here had specifically tried to emulate Maṛaiyar and seize the territories of many capable entities. They were thus restrained and captured when subsequent targets collaborated towards their downfall.

Prisoner Cells

A single cell is where two extrusions, all around the tesseract, intersect two - creating directions connected to the long chamber.   Vertical cross sections through the cell travel upward with the passage of time. With the same being true for the horizontal cross sections travelling rightward as time passes. Essentially, these cross sections depict the different viewing angles of the cell.   The back face of the mucube cell corresponds with one side of the prisoner's cell. Therefore; everything in the cell, including the prisoner, is trapped inside the tesseract's backspace at one particular moment in time. They can be observed from outside at six different viewing angles: be it above or on the right, simultaneously.
The cell is but a moment where an observer can observe its current present. Here, an actual moment of time is defined as being the same as the hallways themselves; extending time the longer it appears.
— gavian prisoner
PCs travel faster than the flow of time at these extrusions; allowing them to explore the tesseract complex when time moves inextricably fast outside the complex.

Special Properties

Illusions

Coloured spaces are grouped together in sets of at least 9, with each group having a mirrored pair on the other side of the prision. Each coloured set is conjoined with its pair so that the two sets are considered as existing within a single space. Any character that occupies a coloured square actually occupies both coloured squares in the same pair simultaneously.
Add an extra identical character token onto the alternate square to indicate how the PC can move from either of its conjoined locations in a single turn.   When a PC who ends a turn on a coloured square takes damage, remove the copy that was not hurt from the map.   A PC may travel through coloured squares like they normally would through their conjoined location(s) and continue in the same relative direction; as a means of traveling quickly.

Alterations

Markers

Corner markers on the coloured sections of the board aid in orienting the players to the sets and their corresponding PC token.
PCs under level 10, always move orthogonally forward. If a diagonal space is directly in front of them, then the PC may travel to either of the two orthogonally forward spaces or attack forward, right or left.

Architecture

Perception

Movement is always in a continuous straight line though that perception may curve when passing through the coloured areas.   Spaces not on the edges are only diagonally connected to the corners of adjacent squares. They are also not orthogonally adjacent to the spaces on the other side of the complex map. This prevents further diagonal movement once crossing that boundary but may still allow for multiple diagonal movements.
A straight line is considered straight when moving across the square to the opposite line or corner from where you entered. Movement strung together this way are considered straight; even though they may curve across the board.
PCs may not perform an infinite move nor return to the space they started on.
