Pariah

Pariahs are defined by their Armor Cursed nature. It sets them apart from the unblessed around them, and allows them to wield powerful Utopian Equipment including Utopian Pacification Armor. Sanctified, Scavs, and Steaders all grew up with tales of the heroic feats of Pariahs. According to tradition, to become a Pariah is to be dead to your old life. In the case of Scav and Steaders this is due to being exiled. In the case of Sanctified it because to become a Pariah is to forsake the duty of protecting the Sanctuaries of your birth to roam the wilds above.   Pariahs adopt a new pseudonym when they adopt their new life. Over time they may abandon old pseudonyms and adopt a new one. Accompanying this pseudonym is a unique and personal paintjob on their armor. The reason for this vary from the sinister to the honorable. It is taboo to even acknowledge a past identity.   Abandoning a past identity can come at a great cost due to paranoia concerning seekers. Pariahs rely heavily on reputation and trust, and changing identities also means losing all of that. Most Sanctuaries refuse to permit unknown Pariahs into their depths.

Beauty Ideals

Pariahs all customize their armor. In part this is to identify themselves and differentiate themselves from Utopian Pacification Forces. This can be as simple as smears of scavenged paint or as intricate as complex geometric patterns or in extravagant cases; murals. None ever see a Pariah without thier helmet.

Gender Ideals

Because of the concealing nature of their armor, Pariahs don't have much concern for physical gender traits. The harsh conditions of their existence strips Pariahs of any notion of gendered task division. Both Males and Females cook, fight, and clean.
