Armor Cursed

The Armor Curse is a strange condition that permits the sufferer to operate Utopian arms and armor. It seems to be innate to the nature of the affected individual. One is either born armor cursed or will never be such.   While being able to wield such powerful equipment offers obvious benefits, it also imposes social limits on the affected individual. The exact nature of these limits vary by culture. All agree the presence of an armor cursed individuals attracts Utopian Pacification Forces.

Cultural Reception

Sanctified revere Armor Cursed individuals. Armor Cursed Sanctuary citizens are primarily guardians responsible for the defense and security of thier subterranean cities. The few that aren't guardians serve in dangerous industrial roles. Armor Cursed Pariahs are one of the peoples the Sanctified permit into their Sanctuaries. The Sanctified have many tales of the heroic exploits of these Pariahs in their struggle against the Utopians.   Scav fear and revere Armor Cursed Pariahs. They see them as powerful heroic warriors, but are well aware of the dangerous power imbalance between themselves and Armor Cursed. It is impossible to be an Armor Cursed Scav as the primary difference between the two is the presence or lack of this condition. Though there are a few taboos and traditions unique to each group.   Steaders fear and avoid the Armor Cursed. According to their superstitions and traditions one afflicted with this condition attracts Utopians. Many tribes have a test in their coming of age rituals to determine if one is Armor Cursed. If the test discovers the youth is Armor Cursed the youth is exiled.   Ravagers rarely are Armor Cursed, and those amongst them that are tend to be powerful bodyguards and elite troops. The clans distrust Armor Cursed and their differences enough to ever permit one to become a warlord. They fear and respect Pariahs, but will use superior numbers to take them on.
