Birchnod
After travelling some time, you reach a small town. A windmill greets you at the outskirts of the town. Houses line the streets as you walk down.. You can see a few businesses in the center of town. A temple and a guild hall also stand at the center. There's quite a few people out and about it appears pretty bustling for a small town.
Demographics
Halfling, Elven, and Human for the most part
Hunters and Trappers are the main source of work here as it's a major trade route for goods and produce.
Government
Feudal Government. The Lady Matron of the Town - Adele Deveraux watches over the town and its citizens. She and her small staff of officers handle the day to day affairs of the town. She is known to be as cunning as she is beautiful.
Defences
Lady Devereaux's bodyguards make up the sole defense of the town. They will lay down their lives for the Lady Matron. For the rest of the citizens? It is unknown.
Industry & Trade
Trade and Food is Birchnod's main export. The abundance of flora and fauna in the area make it excellent hunting grounds. Trapper and Hunters ply their trade in the area and sell their wares to people in and out of the town.

Guilds and Factions
Guild of Merchants - They have a meeting hall in the town - Most of the Merchants in the country belong to the guild and report to the town for quarterly meetings. This makes for great trade and movement of goods all throughout the country.
A Temple of Pelor (Colloquially called Aëlan) was erected here. It is a tiny Chapel sized building housing a shrine to Pelor tended to by Prior Wendell and Initiate Hazel
History
Founded many hundreds of years ago by the ancient in habitants. It was named for the abundance of birch trees which surround the area. The Original settlers used up all the birch trees until none remained but the ones in Hagswood. But even back then, folks wouldn't dare go near the place.

Stone Houses with thatched roofs are a staple of the architecture of Birchnod
Geography
Forestland and rolling hills surround Birchnod. It seems to stand alone amongst a vast patch of green.
To the east of it lies Hagswood. A Rotting forest of trees. Most folks claim this wood to be haunted by a variety of spirits and evil fey.
Natural Resources
Wood from the Forests, Animals in the area Hunted for meat and fur, Coin can be made from ridding the town of various pest problems.
