Session 3: When We Last Met - 9/4/22

General Summary

When last we met, the party convened later that morning and made preparations before setting off to hunt Bugbears. With their new ally, Flint in tow, They managed to track down the creatures thanks to Celeste's keen tracking skills. Their search brought them to a downed tree on a forest path. There they spotted 2 of the 4 creatures lying in wait to spring a trap on them. The party instead took the fight to them surprising them, Only to be caught unaware by the other two Bugbears revealing themselves. 
The creatures posed more of a challenge than originally thought as the party slowly learned to work together and play off each other's strengths. Eventually they came out victorious with Vandread delivering the final killing blow with his double bladed scimitar.  After that, wounds were patched, bodies were searched, and weapons were collected for the bounty. With the group magnanimously giving Flint one of the morning stars for his part in the battle. 
From there, They returned to Birchnod. Flint brought them to Lady Devereaux's residence where a receptionist transacted their reward and bounty. With heavier pockets and lessons learned from their first battle together, The party takes refuge at the home of one of Birchnod's residents as the Thorn's Nook Inn was closed. Ivyre revealed all she knew of Banshees as a creature to the rest of the party to brief them on what they could be in store for. After that they took a long rest in the late afternoon, Intending to rise in the middle of the night and set out for their next quarry.
