Session 59: When Last We Met 11/19/23
General Summary
When last we met, The party had emerged victorious in the Blessed Fields of Elysium. They met some of the architects of Tharizdun's original imprisonment. These Included Gods and Devils. They are showered with praise for their victory and defense of the Universe. They earn a place in the Blessed fields upon their eventual deaths. They also get a heartfelt farewell (For now) of their mentor and Bard Daddy: Eammon.
With spirits renewed and blissful sleep in an afterlife realm achieved, They return to the scene of the final battle. They find they were victorious but at great cost. Most of the forces they marshalled have fallen. Vandread attempts to move across the battlefield casting spare the dying with some success. They find one of their allies - Thengel had fallen in battle. Tensi offers a home and companionship to the now orphaned Blink Dog Narmo. To which he accepts. They reunite with their other allies from the battle and take stock in their victory and their frienship. The day was truly won. From there, the party decide they should return the items loaned to them by the Keeper of the Forgotten. The party realized that Without the ability to teleport, They need to reach the fey crossing on foot. Luckily, Romaia had just the thing in her back pocket, and they set sail for The Wildrim Islands on her Folding Boat - Christened "The Child of the Cliffs". They make the 2 day journey And reach the fey crossing. Within the Feywild, They then make the journey on foot. Celeste leading the charge as she recalls the path. A day of travel later and they reach the Summer Oak tree and cross over into the Summer Court. Happy reunions are made as The Summer Queen congratulates the party on their success and thank them for returning the items to The Keeper. The party collectively pleads a case for Tensi to receive a magic item and D'unahzaal bequeathes one to her. From there, the party is teleported to Birchnod where they check in with their friend and business partner Rebecca. She gives them their earnings for the past three months, which equated to 75gp. From there, The group returned home and began a month long respite of downtime to handle personal business or take care of things they needed to. Thirty days later, and the party found themselves all back and reunited at Maplevale Manor. Their faithful servant, Vasil hasn't really been acting like himself in the ensuing weeks. And finally the reason for his strange behavior is revealed as Isolde, Eager to return to her bed for a long awaited sleep, instead finds a small gnome in her bed and a fight/scramble/chase ensues through the house. The small creature is eventually caught and subdued by Celeste. Vasil gives up the ghost and asks that they be not hurt as he was harboring him as a refugee from Volgot. He apologizes profusely to the party and they make amends on the basis that he not keep secrets like that from them. The gnome, known as Caoimhe (Pronounced: Koi-Va) Fled Volgot after he purposely sabotaged some weaponry he was comissioned to build. His pursuers, a Group of slavers from Volgot, followed him to Auldsod and continue to hunt him down. He asks the party for aid in keeping him safe and getting the slavers off his back.
