Astrazalin

Astrazalin is the largest city of the Feywild, and the seat from which Titania and Oberon rule the Summer Court.

Demographics

Seelie Fey of all descriptions inhabit the city: Nymphs, Pixies, Eladrin, Sprites, and more. Each build their own enclaves and neighborhoods best suited to their needs. The Courtless Goblins also inhabit Astrazalin, though almost always under the servitude of another Fey or Archfey. Mortal scholars have no estimate of the size of the city, as its scope and layout appear to be different to each surveyor who attempts to measure it, but it is thought to be as large as Cantonova on the Material Plane, if not larger.

Points of interest

The skyline of the grand city is dominated by the amethyst spires of the Caisléan Murálainn, the traditional home of the Archfey Regnant. Both the castle itself and its surrounding gardens are the stuff of legend.

Beyond the Caisléan Murálainn, the most famous landmark of Astrazalin is the storied Goblin Market, a destination both sought and feared by planewalkers. The merchants of the market sell magical goods of all description, and mortal buyers who travel there often quickly find something that promises them their wildest dreams: cures for impossible magical ailments, gowns or instruments that charm all who see or hear them, seeds for plants that grow polished gemstones instead of fruit. The prices for these items are high; merchants ask for specific, hard-to-obtain items couched in riddles, take memories and skills from the buyers, or even negotiate periods of indenture. The use and upkeep of these items, once obtained, usually requires solving more riddles or tests of character, or their magic fades or backfires.

The Floral Thoroughway is the quickest route from Astrazalin to any other major destination in the Summer Court. However, as the paths both cross over each other frequently and change their flowers' color and species often, one must take particular care in following the correct path in the network.
