Orianna Kapetach
Commander Kapetach prefers to simply go by 'Orianna', uninterested in the formalities of the title she holds. Orianna is an incredibly gifted engineer with an insatiable passion for machinery and mechanisms. She is responsible for the construction of new heavy weaponry as well as the maintenance, servicing and repairs of ones currently in service, the most common being ballista-like devices. Her small size allows her to expertly work on intricate machinery and although she is tiny, she is a fierce adversary in combat with her unique combination of engineering and the arcane arts.
She can often be found within the confines of the Azari Training Grounds either setting up complex training scenarios or testing out new inventions in her workshop. The Crestguard often carry portable explosive charges while on patrolling duties and Orianna is said to have been the one behind their creation and testing. Her small team of engineers, tinkerers and inventors are always looking for ways to incorporate additional destructive power into objects with many a plume of smoke seen or loud explosions heard throughout the city on a training day.
The outer defences of the city and various walls and watchtowers throughout Talia feature devastatingly accurate and destructive war machines, known to strike targets with incredible range and accuracy. The Crestguard utilises black powder with such efficiency that trebuchets, cannons and other similar devices used by an attacking force are simply no match for the destruction they bring, usually destroyed before they are even in range to fire.
