Elysium

An infinite plane of pure good, the river Oceanus runs through linking to the Beastlands and Arborea.   There are four 'layers', Amoria, Eronia, Belierin and Thalasia.

Amoria

This layer is the most welcoming, with a mild climate, featuring endless fields and woodland with bright and colourful wildlife. Most of the towns are located alongside the banks of the river, serving as the main route through the layer.   Notable locations include:
Gattan - A common place for humans to reside before they are ready to move on to the afterlife. The residents do not know they are dead and carry on their life as if they were on the material plane.
Valorhome - Home for valiant fighters of all races, their pacts to always protect sometimes prevent them from reaching their afterlife. Residents are aware they are technically dead and often carry out 'passing on' rituals when the time is right.
Contemplation - Realm of Majere, a collection of structures and landscapes that beings of enlightenment inhabit. Carrying out tasks such as farming, gathering and construction give the beings a sense of purpose and simplicity. Contemplation can only be reached by those with a clean and honest mind free of sins or regrets.
Wetherly - A place of magic users before they are ready to move on to their afterlife, usually becasue they feel their knowledge of magic is unfinished.
Light's Blessing - Realm of Pelor, followers of the sun gods may end up here before passing into the afterlife. Eternally covered in sunlight, even in shadows creatures are unable to hide as the light seems to be everywhere.
City of the Star - The realm of Ishtar, a place so beautiful and charming that visitors often find it hard to leave. Only the strongest willed creatures can come and go as they please with others bound to the city for eternity.
Quietude - Realm of Isis, a place of loving and kindness, filled with souls who feel they have more love and nurturing to give. The inhabitents are aware of their death and seek to help and guide those who need it the most before passing through.
Healers Home - Home of the guardinals located away from the river and towns.

Eronia

This layer is filled with rough mountainus terrain, harsh weather including lightning storms, bitter winters, blistering summers and general danger. Created this way for those that want a challenge in the afterlife, the threats are not entirly dangerous (this is Elysium after all) but serve a purpose. Residents are often challenged are tasked to reach hard to get to locations to retrive items to help another in need or for rituals or prayers. Nearly all towns or dwellings are perched atop mountains and canyons with the river running through the very bottom of such places.   Notable locations include:
Dweomerheart - Realm of Mystra, dedicated to the appreciation and study of magic, ever changing with many illusions and transformations altering the city day by day. Inhabitted by many races including several angels and the mercane, traveling merchants well versed in magic and spelljammer equipment.
Precipice - A community of Aarakocra and giant birds atop a tall, sharp cliff overlooking a lagoon formed by the river Oceanus.
Woodhaven - A small woodland atop a towering plateau, home to Hiatea, a fierce and formiddable gaintess warrior.
Great Mother's Garden - Seeming to exist outside the harsh nature of the rest of Eronia, this garden produces plentiful fruits continually. Home to Chauntea a goddess of agriculture.
Morninglory - Realm of Lathander, a place of natural beauty in an everlasting dawn, surrounded by mountains, a lake and a meadow. A wooden catedral sits in the center surrounded by smaller wooden dwellings, any rest here takes half the usual time. Home to many clerics that worship the dawn and creation.
Soulearth - A cavern beneath the surface of Eronia, serving as a place for Halflings to go before being assigned their proper place in afterlife.
True Grove - Realm of Eldath, land of druids, natural springs and plentiful flora.
Great Mountain of the East - The tallest and hardest point to reach in Eronia, home to deities of long forgotten pantheons.

Belierin

A land filled with swamps and marshes, covered by an eerily luminous mist. The good nature of Elysium can still be felt alongside a feeling of unease while traversing through the various twists and turns of the river.   Certain locations exist as sorts of waypoints to guide travellers through. Several legends depict the layer being used as a prison for powerful and dangerous creatures due to several factors including divination magic unable to reach it, and portals not being able to open, leaving the river as the only means of transport. Creatures of evil are not able to touch the waters of the river and are therefore trapped there.   Notable locations include Nillis-Thur, an old fortress of angels now watched over by guardinals and Rubicon, a guardinal outpost located where the river flows into Eronia.

Thalasia

The origin and final destination of the river Oceanus, Thalasia is an endless ocean peppered with islands, sporting beaches caves and caves. Some towns and communities call these islands their home and enjoy a mild tropical climate.   Notable locations include Portico, an island town located where the river begins it's journey towards Belierin and Selkie's Grotto, an underwater cave complex inhabited by seal like creatures (Selkies) and often visited by aquatic deities.   It is rumoured that great heroes of the past take up a residence on islands here, to be sought out when conditions require it.
