Thorin Oakenshield
Thorin was Grandson of THROR the King "Under the Mountain" who ruled when Smaug, The Magnificent attacked Erebor. He, as all the Dwarves of Erebor wandered Middle Earth for many years following the defeat. His Father had a map detailing a secret passage into the Lonely Mountain, and as a dying wish he gave Gandalf, the Grey the map, and requested that he give it to Thorin. Gandalf had found him in the dungeons of DOL GULDER while doing reconnaissance there. He took the map, and searched and found Thorin. He then helped him gather the 11 Dwarfs and 1 Hobbit that would make up THORIN OAKENSHIELDS COMPANY. This hardy group of 13 made it to the The Lonely Mountain and caused the great beast to leave the mountain to attack Laketown. After his death they reclaimed Erebor and its treasures. Thorin was prepared to lead his band against the army of Humans and Elves that came to get redress for the years they suffered from the dragon. Fortunately armies of Orcs of the Grey Mountains & WORGS showed up and the The Battle of Five Armies ensued. Thorin was mortally wounded in that battle.
