Olwyn
The island of Olwyn was once fiercely fought over between the Daoine and the Northlanders, each wanting to claim the isle's strategic position in the center of the Moontides. Now under the unified banner of the High Queen, both Daoine and Northander reside together on the isle. Although bitter grudges still live on between the older generations of the peoples, recent years have shown Olwyn to be an example of a blending of cultures. Here settlements tend to have a mixture of Daoine and Northlander customs and culture and the two are blending well together. The Daoine Petty King Fionn Braoin rules over the island, but he has a Northlander wife as his queen.
Other than Baeddon, Olwyn has the most lingering aftermath from the time of the Fey on the isles. The forests to the northwest of the isle still have some sylvan and fey holdouts from before the fey retreat. Satyrs, treants, and dryads are known to populate the wood. At least one small settlement of centaurs roams the grassy plains south of Elkenvale. Among the southern mountains are several dwarven cities that yield beneath the banner of the High Queen, but they also view Thane Thelgrod Warmhelm of Hrafnel as their direct leader over that of King Fionn.
