Diadem
Geography
Made mainly of diamond, gems, and crystal, with a minimal amount of natural rock and stone, Diadem is a hot, bright planet full of reflective surfaces and with no atmosphere. There are mountains that allow for shade during certain times of day, which the main part of it's capitol, Diamond, has been built into. The Mile High Central Port, also known as 'The Spire', is the tallest structure on the planet, reaching high beyond the sky as the planet's spaceport.
Fauna & Flora
There are no native fauna, as the heat and minimal atmosphere kill off any biological or organic life. However, there is artificial flora--layers of solar collectors disguised as vines and leaves--that is spread over every surface of the planet's buildings and streets.
Natural Resources
Solar energy is the strongest and most bountiful resource gathered on Diadem, as it is easily renewable and easily traded, and is unlikely to be dismissed or fall out of favor. Although gems such as diamonds, emeralds, and rubies were also mined, Diadem's inhabitants preferred not to dig into its own planet once it's home city had been established. Exceptions, however, have been made, if a resource is plentiful and heavily regulated.
The planet itself is made of a strong material called the Transpicuous Crystal for its remarkable clarity, which shimmers much like a diamond, of which there isn’t much known about. It makes up the mountains—the Shards of Diadem—framing the capital city, Diamond, and is a rather fetching jewel upon one’s neck.
