Long Waite Correctional Hub

"He has been placed into the Long Wait," says the bot, it's tone the same as the other seven times we'd asked; all cold and stiff and sharp like the Shards of Diadem. The repeat didn't make it any easier to bear, and it left the mass of tubing and ticking gears that made up our stomachs roiling in reaction. 
We all knew of the Long Wait. It was a Database, filled with all the people you'd never want to meet in a dark alley, or a board room, or in a riot. Filled with the evil, the corrupted, and the wrong. As far as anyone knew...once you go inside the facility, you never come out. Only the parts of you they could sell are ever seen again.

Purpose / Function

Advertised as both a Correctional Facility and a Maximum Security Prison for criminals in the New Terran Societies, in reality it is a storage Hub and a factory all in one. On one side, it is a massive network filled with the minds of criminals to be rehabilitated into decent society; on the other, the bodies of long-term criminals are, after a certain amount of time, broken down to be recycled and reused for the rest of civilization.

Alterations

Once only a simple holding cell at it’s first use in 132 AM, it has since expanded during it’s lifetime as more and more societal issues have shown themselves. When it became apparent that more than a few people would display the need for correctional help for their crimes, that holding cell was put into a rock face and then further in. However, that did not solve the issues that were becoming more obvious and blatant as the prison continued to grow.
In the year 253 AM, the first and only breakout occurred, which forced the issue of once again moving the cells and databanks into a more isolated location. That was when they began to carve the prison into the rock of Somnus, one of Centauri’s moons. At night, you can see the lights of the buildings there, a massive city in its own right.

History

Named after two famous criminals dealt with and then rehabilitated personally by the Neutral Five, the Long Waite Correctional Hub has changed locations only once since the first and only breakout in 253 AM.
