Mile High Central Port
Purpose / Function
This Spaceport has a sense of rich, highly aesthetic futuristic style. This is the first building that people see when visiting the planet Diadem and it is large, filled with LEDs and colors and reflective surfaces. A thick ring makes up the Spire, a tube going all the way down that acts as the Docking Bay. When one docks their ship, it is spun around (to face away from the entrance) and lowered into the hanger that would allow them to either exchange cargo (depending on which bay one is in) and/or allow passengers to disembark. People travel straight down, gravity keeping them on certain parts of the walls/ceiling to create pathways. There are different pathways depending on how one wants to travel, different lanes within them. Some can travel by small hovercraft or scooter, by foot, by cart. In the lower half of the Spire, there are bubbles for people to rest and to enjoy the view of the rest of the Capitol City, Diamond, and the Shards of Diadem that cradles the city.
Alterations
The bubbles for views are the more recent addition for better protection; they detach when an earthquake could hit. These bubbles are filled with charging stations and their surface allow for easier absorption of solar rays; this makes it easier for those who have their own means of solar energy collection to use them.
Architecture
Clean lines, futuristic LEDs, and aesthetically pleasing colors are everywhere in this city. There is a great, massive spire that reaches up beyond the sky, with 'bubbles' at its lower levels, the bottom of those bubbles covered in solar collecting 'plants.' Around the base of the building, trailing up, up, up, it appears as though vines and plants have grown on its surface. These are thick roped wires and tubes, disguised as vines and leaves, that allow for solar energy to be gathered and to power the building and city itself. This is similar to all the buildings on Diadem.
History
One of the first buildings begun in the city's construction by those first Laborbots, its base is built into and reinforced by natural rock and metals.
