Rebirthing Centers
Purpose / Function
The Rebirthing Centers are large buildings dedicated to the maintenance and transfer of Neo Terran Shells and Dataminds.
Architecture
Originally just large rooms to house the Memoria Transfer Machine, databanks loaded with Dataminds, and Shells, the circular buildings were then expanded on to include waiting rooms, where their families could wait for them, and Readjustment areas. These new additions were added atop the rooms that held the Memoria machines.
Readjustment areas are where Reborn Neo Terrans could get used to the oddities of their new Shells. These areas could house hundreds of Neo Terrans in rooms similar in size to dorm rooms, sometimes with roommates as well.
With large solar panels encompassing entire roofs and windows of these buildings, coupled with the strong rays of their system’s sun, plenty of power was provided to the generators below the machines.
History
Beside the spaceports, Rebirthing Centers were the third important structure to be built next to housing. The first Memoria Transfer Machines were taken from the ships used to get to the Alpha Avior System and reinstalled in the new Rebirthing Centers. From there, the buildings expanded up and out until the Rebirthing Centers became the equivalent of high-risers.
