The Saltmarsh Irregulars

A huge thank-you to my players, without whom this wonderful party - and the enitre Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign - wouldn't be possible; thatqueentalia, Imperator_Zedus, Noot8, and last but certainly not least, Kilroy_Boi.
The Saltmarsh Irregulars are a party of adventurers operating out of Saltmarsh, mostly working for the Saltmarsh Town Council - namely Captain Eliander Fireborn. They consist of Virion Sylvenne, Co'oquilan Mystan, Seklyn/Selina, and Bubbles. Other members and affiliates include Mystan's Druk companion, Raiden and Oceanus. Melody Rose Hazel Turen was formerly a member, but left after the party completed their quest to solve the Blueson Twins' murders and stop the smugglers. Melody briefly returned to aid with the Emperor of the Waves and the Isle of the Abbey, but was exiled following her failure to further investigate her former wife. Uk-thin Rolsar was also a member, but after a period of absence they took to mourn their son in The Styes they left following a duel with Virion Sylvenne at Burle. Finally, the drow siblings Faeyrn, aka Fishcod and Ciara(n) both are former members of the Saltmarsh Irregulars.

Faeryn left the party as a fugative after the events on Abbey Island, following which Bubbles joined. Ciara joined during the Saltmarsh Irregular's investigation under the Tower of Zenopus, along with Selina who is a Kor pathfinder and former lover of Virion's.

Following the events of the Castle Feldren prison break, Ciara(n) fled the country with Faeryn, and Bubbles rejoined the party for the journey to White Plume Mountain.

Structure

There is no formal structure to the party, though they do have some related structures attached. Virion Sylvenne and Co'oquilan Mystan are both servants of the Keoish Empire (a Noble Knight and a Knight of Raan respectively). Fishcod/Faeryn is a notable Warlock of Zuggtmoy, and Melody is a bard and Jan Pana community leader, with aims to become a Chieftess. Bubbles is a Javan diplomat and soldier, while Uk-thin was the only member of the party to not have an official title or loyalty outside the party though they later joined the Keoish Marines. Ciara(n), meanwhile, was her tribe's druid, while Selina/Seklyn is a prominent member of the Aryzmuit.

The party's followers, however, do have a structure. Oceanus was a Scout for the Tribe of Manaan and advisor to the party. The crew they hire for the Sea Ghost also has a traditional heirarchy, with a Captain, First Mate, Bosun, Quartermaster, and Crew.

Public Agenda

Keep the town of Saltmarsh and surrounding region safe in the name of the Imperial Crown and gold.

As time went on, the Saltmarsh Irregular's goal became more fluid and focused on keeping people safe rather than loyalty to Keoland.

Political Influence & Intrigue

By the completion of their quest to solve the Blueson twins' murder, the party has become a minor political force in Saltmarsh. Heavily tied to town council member Captain Eliander Fireborn, the party's actions were essential for the ousting of Gellan Primewater and the beginning of the Primewater Probe.

Following this, the Party was key in Saltmarsh joining the Aquatic Alliance, and has even helped secure the Javan Locathah access to the Silverstream and Kingfisher Rivers, should the Javan River not be reclaimed.

The party has since been very involved in local politics, with Melody subtly trying to influence the Saltmarsh Election, several interactions with the elites of Seaton (including catapulting Aubreck Drallion back into prominence). More recently, they have begun aiding in local efforts to root out cults of elemental evil and demonic forces alike.

Furthermore, the party was instrumental both in the 214 Town Council election - in which Virion Sylvenne ran for office, splitting the loyalist vote to allow traditionalist Maria Primewater to win - and the Primewater Trial, which was the result of a probe initiated by Melody herself.
