Aquatic Alliance
The Aquatic Alliance is a political and military agreement between the Hool Lizardfolk, Javan Locatha, the Merfolk Colony of Báhuid, the Keoish Colonial Town of Saltmarsh, and Tribe of Manaan to drive the Sahuagin out of the Sahuagin Fortress, returning it to the Hool Lizardfolk.
Structure
The alliance is a political alliance between the political and military leaders of each group. Delegates from each faction represent the other groups at meetings, inclduing:
The Aquatic Alliance currently has sway over the following military units:
- Garurt and Vyth, a pair of Lizardfolk Scaleshields representing Queen Othokent.
- Aryn, a Merfolk who usually works as a salvager for her colony.
- Sakith, a Locatha Hunter and skilled negotiator.
- Oceanus, a Sea Elf entrusted by his chief to investigate the goings-on of the surface world.
- Co'oquilan Mystan and the rest of The Party, a Knight of Raan and associated adventurers often tasked by the Saltmarsh Town Council for diplomatic and military mission alike.
The Aquatic Alliance currently has sway over the following military units:
- Hool Militia, consiting of 70 lizardfolk (counting officers) led by Subchief Ihrtos.
- Javan Runners, a troop of 50 Locatha soldiers led by Chieftess Ag'gona of the Javan Locatha
- Coral Company, a unit of 200 merfolk led by Captain Cillian O Cerien
- Joint Saltmarsh Company, a company of 150 soldiers led by Captain Eliander Fireborn, consisting of a hodgepodge of Saltmarsh Guardsmen, Saltmarsh Marines, and solideres from Burle.
- Royal Guard of Manaan, a troop of elite soliders from the Tribe of Manaan led by their chief.
History
Brainchild of Minister Sauriv of the Hool Lizardfolk, the Aquatic Alliance was established on the 32nd of the Month of Creation in 214 IA. Initially, the alliance consisted only of the Hool Lizardfolk, Javan Locatha, and Merfolk colony of Báhuid. Following the exploits of The Party, Saltmarsh joined the alliance on the 34th of Creation. By the 8th of Middays that year, the Tribe of Manaan had joined as well.
The Lizardfolk had, initially, wanted the Koalith in the Cobalt Sea to join the Alliance rather than the Sea Elves, but when the Koalith declined the Sea Elves were eager to join and fight their sworn enemy, the Sea Devils.
