Lizefa Vernet

Magister Lizefa Vernet

"Lizefa is the greatest biomancer in our history, aside from perhaps Cerin Gorbil. When her journals are found, biomancy advances another decade. The day of her death was truly a tragedy for us all."   ~Grandmaster Jeren, of the Golden Tower

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Lizefa is a brain floating in an alchemical soup contained in a diamond jar capped on top and bottom with bronze.    She "rides" in the skull of a flesh golem by 'collapsing' her tube and having it implanted in the head, giving her full control of the body. She crafts the body herself, 'upgrading' and altering it to be as close to her lost body as possible.

Special abilities

Lizefa's brain is a powerfully psionic entity.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Lizefa was born into a powerful family of sorcerers in Eldermeare. At an early age, she showed an aptitude for Biomancy, and her family bought her all of the pets she could ever want to encourage her studies.   Her Becoming was a success, but barely. In the course of scouting a band of Lizardfolk that had turned bandit, most of her fellows were mortally wounded. She used her magic to attain victory, but exactly how this was done is something of a mystery.   When she was readopted into the Vernet Clan, she took up her studies in a tower on the frontier. Many of her discoveries have been lost, with few being recovered in the form of journals and notes hidden in her field laboratories and caches.   In the Summer of 341, her primary tower was sacked and obliterated by an unknown assailant, and she is presumed to have been killed.     Lizefa was attacked by the Griefless Host in an attempt to knock out what Suc'mor the Griefless thought would be a rival. Lizefa's final experiment was interrupted, and she wound up as a brain in a jar buried beneath the rubble. Her original body was lost, taken by Suc'mor the Griefless to animate as a trophy, and she was forced to use her psionic ability to enthrall local peasants to dig her out. Since then, she has been obsessed with continuing her research and opposing Suc'mor the Griefless.   The year after her death, she founded Echirt with her thralls.

Gender Identity

Despite being a disembodied brain, Lizefa strictly regards herself as female. Any hint of disagreement on that front (such as referring to her as an 'it') will invoke a homicidal wrath.

Education

Lizefa had the benefit of the tutelage of her family growing up, but she advanced well beyond their teaching ability in the field of Biomancy.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Lizefa has created a number of creatures, mainly focused on the field of producing psionic variants of living creatures. While few if any of her creations escaped into the wild, a few are known to have descendants in private menageries.

Mental Trauma

Lizefa has not mentally recovered from Suc'mor the Griefless's assault on her sanctum. She seeks to recreate her lost body by crafting flesh golems to install her brain into, and to advance her research into psionics so she'll have a true army to face him.
