Halfling

Despite how happy and optimistic the halflings are, they don't like giving up the secrets to their language at all. It is mainly an oral language as halflings prove to be quite magnificent bards, second only to the Elves. Some scholars have tried to make a compendium of the language but one halfling or another will always have a problem and destroy their work, forcing them to start all over again.

The language was crafted around oral traditions, written history not being as common in halfling communities. It was refined for onomatopeia and grammar and syntax for specific circumstances. It is a language meant to tell stories, especially to children and isn't used as commonly as a result. As a sage studying the halflings once said, "Fine. Keep your Secrets."

Geographical Distribution

Halfling is commonly found in the Luari province of both Torzhokia and Zhangli, but it can be found near Human, Dwarvish, and Elvish settlements as well since they far prefer they to other species.
