Goblin
Goblin, despite its name, is not meant only for Goblins. They were barely able to understand it a long time ago when goblins were little more than monstrous pests. The Hobgoblins were the main ones to use the language, making it one of military action and conflict. It was slowly adopted by the bugbears and the goblins as they grew more civilized and conducted in civilized matters.
Funnily enough, it had a chance to be a Lingua Franca due to it taking from every language it could get its hands on. This no doubt came from the idea of "Knowledge is Power" which past Hobgoblin Legions followed to a 'T'. It struggles to find an identity because of that, some wondering why goblinoids even speak it anymore. The main reason? It's their language. So why give it up when everyone wants a language of their own?
Geographical Distribution
Goblin is a language well found in the wilderness as goblinoids may prefer to live amongst themselves. At the same time, it's also found in places such as Torzhokia where knowledge is power and the goblinoids love the promise of knowledge.
