Elvish

If there's one thing that can be said about Elvish, it is a beautiful language. Thanks to the Elven connection to the Fey, it is derived from the Sylvan language and as such, sounds both mischevious and poetic at the same time. It is an ancient tongue just as Dwarvish and though it has become secondary to Common in normal conversation, it still has its roots in the lands it hails from.

Many storytellers and bards will write their songs in Elvish or even translate them from such, trying to keep as much of the native words as possible so the meaning or phrasing isn't lost. Some would say this is because Elvish is tied directly to Corallion, the patron deity, and creator of the Elves. It has that divine spark to it that makes it unique amongst other racial languages. Emotion in the language is very focused on as Elves of Kesia do believe that emotion can cause physical damage. It may hint at why so many Elvish myths focus on being dying of a broken heart or some other traumatic emotional event.

Geographical Distribution

Elvish is common anywhere Elves are. They are found all over Kesia as frequently as Humans are. Capra and the Underdark, the shores of Shinovar and even as far north as Zhangli. Elvish has become a core part of any culture that prides themselves on literature and the countries that hold those cultures dear will never let the languages go.
