History
Dei'adra and Cairn's relationship started when Cairn was making their moves towards the council. Despite only being a Varma at the time, Dei'adra was extremely influential, it being common knowledge that the only Erati majors who could grant them the title hating them to an insane degree, but not being able to kill them. Dei'adra denounced Cairn on several occasions, major attention given to their statement because the Laka Qaser explicitly backed them up and stated their support for Dei'adra to take a Council seat instead of Cairn. Cairn stonewalled Dei'adra taking a council seat until they finally gained the rank of Erati, as such she had no argument which the other members would listen to.
Relationship Reasoning
Dei'adra was one of the Laka who opposed Cairn's rise, Cairn returning the favor when Dei'adra was making a push for a Council seat. They are considered fairly progressive by Lati standards, something which Cairn hates with a burning passion. They are forced to work together, but would likely be at each other's throats if not for the others on the Council.
Shared Acquaintances
The rest of the Council.
History
Janus and Cairn's relationship started when she joined the Laka Council.
Relationship Reasoning
Janus did not offer an opinion either way to Cairn joining the Council, they just took it in stride. They work together, and Janus keeps Cairn's worst instincts (Extinction Precepts) in check. While Janus is a standard, fairly bigotted Lati, Cairn is too anti-alien even for them, and they find her constant attempts at stealing the spymaster's secrets fairly annoying.

History
Kear and Cairn's relationship started when she was still a House of Adaw scion. Kear was working for House of Yolilitzcoatl and needed to bribe someone to get support to gain the Erati title, Cairn had been tasked to get a permanent healer as part of her department. They continued to conduct business dealings, and formed a friendship, Kear being the one to save them and grant them the Yolilitzcoatl Dynasty position during the Adaw Crisis.
Relationship Reasoning
Kear and Cairn have worked together for a long time, Cairn providing Kear with the spoils of tombs and digs which the latter finds for the former. Kear doesn't have any feeling towards Cairn's bigotry, and they have been known to confide in each other on occasion.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Artifacts, Knowledge, and Control.
Shared Secrets
Both really want the True Children of Adaw wiped off the map, but they are currently under the protection and employ of the Laka Janus, so they can't kill them directly. Both have plans within pans to get them killed, plans which require the other's cooperation.
Shared Acquaintances
The rest of the Council.
History
Cairn had denounced Qaser several times during her rise to prominence, largely for Qaser's emphasis on new technological advancements, which die to the nature of Larani Engineering, require the creation of new rituals and abilities. Despite their distaste for one another, they have to work together often.
Relationship Reasoning
Qaser and Cairn have exact opposite views on technological progress. Qaser is much more focused on creating new things, while Cairn believes that the wisest knowledge is obtained from the past. Both have fanned the flames of this potential conflict, by antagonizing and denouncing one another on several occasions. If both hadn't come into power around the same time, then the one who came after likely would not have gotten on the council.
Shared Acquaintances
The other members of the Council.
History
Zhan Zheng never took any stance on Cairn joining the Council, and as such was never given much thought. They never worked together until the campaign Cairn had to lead as a sort of initiation to the Council, and after that, Cairn makes sure to stay away from the reserved Lati, though she doesn't antagonize her.
Relationship Reasoning
Zhan Zheng and Cairn have little need to get in each other's way. Cairn provides elite Lati to serve as shock troops and commanders, and she makes sure her archeological forces are protected when they go out on expeditions. They are perfect ambivalent towards one another, and knowing Lati, that's pretty good.
