History
Dei'adra and Cairn's relationship started when Cairn was making their moves towards the council. Despite only being a Varma at the time, Dei'adra was extremely influential, it being common knowledge that the only Erati majors who could grant them the title hating them to an insane degree, but not being able to kill them. Dei'adra denounced Cairn on several occasions, major attention given to their statement because the Laka Qaser explicitly backed them up and stated their support for Dei'adra to take a Council seat instead of Cairn. Cairn stonewalled Dei'adra taking a council seat until they finally gained the rank of Erati, as such she had no argument which the other members would listen to.
Relationship Reasoning
Dei'adra was one of the Laka who opposed Cairn's rise, Cairn returning the favor when Dei'adra was making a push for a Council seat. They are considered fairly progressive by Lati standards, something which Cairn hates with a burning passion. They are forced to work together, but would likely be at each other's throats if not for the others on the Council.
Shared Acquaintances
The rest of the Council.
History
These two have worked together a fair amount, even before they took power. They aren't particularly fond of one another, but they are extremely willing to work together due to their distaste for Cairn.
Relationship Reasoning
These two have mostly similar ideas on the way Laran should progress, things such as getting rid of redundant and backwards policies, putting more control over Lati and their antics. They didn't really like each other for personal reason, not idealogical ones, but they are united in their absolute hatred for Cairn.
Shared Acquaintances
The rest of the Laka Council.
History
Janus and Dei'adra began working together when Dei'adra joined the council in 447 PKR. They work closely together on many things, most notably Laran's Subliminal Coding initiatives, and the Civil Police, the ingrained hit squad of the seat of Civil Administration, often pull double-time as intelligence's 'secret' police.
Relationship Reasoning
Janus and Dei'adra hold different politic views, though both have had to learn to get along due to the closeness of their seats. Dei'adra has also championed folding the seat of Underworld Influence, one held by Kear into Janus' powerbase, something they very much appreciated.
Shared Acquaintances
Both share acquaintance with the rest of the Laka Council.
History
Dei'adra and Kaer cannot stand one another, but while the former sees the other as a nuisance, the latter sees the other as a blight. An alien on the Laka council, someone who was born as a commoner, a slave for his masters. Kaer will never like Dei'adra, and the latter's calls for his powerbase to be folded into Janus' only worsen their relationship.
Relationship Reasoning
Dei'adra is a progressive alien reformer, and Kaer is a conservative Lati. Dei'adra has repeatedly antagonized Kaer, and the latter has responded in kind.
Shared Acquaintances
The others on the Laka Council.
History
Zhan Zheng has a great respect for Dei'adra, as he served in the armed forces she commands. Dei'adra, while not technically needing to concern himself with the Footmen of the Larani Army, still cares enough to show concern whenever Zheng does something he thinks would harm them. They don't work together often, as the army's ingrained powerbase provides the resources needed for most supply chains, but the few times they have led to them becoming fast friends.
Relationship Reasoning
Zhan Zheng and Dei'adra have similar progressive policies, though, for the former, it's far more due to pragmatism than morality. Either way, Dei'adra appreciates the less xenophobic ideas that his friend promotes.
Shared Acquaintances
The others on the Laka Council.
You and your ilk claim those who do not follow the ways of the ancients are unclean, impure, heathens. You threaten, you bluster, you act as buffoons. What you fail to realise is, the ancients are dead. They've been dead. They left their ruins for us to build on, and to simply repeat their mistakes will have us repeat their fate.
