The Adaw Crisis

The Adaw Crisis was the absolute failure of a House of Adaw to command a campaign, and subsequent hunting down and near extermination of the entire House. Most of its members were either killed, or defected to other Dynasties, taking their resources with them. The Adaw Dynasty was so diminished that it ended up being disbanded and reconstituted as the True Children of Adaw, still a weak Dynasty which barely controls half their own planet.

The Adaw Crisis began when a high up in the House of Adaw was given command of an important fleet in the Tanpelbe Branch of the Tzaran Streams and immediately started failing at existence in general. They led their forces into ambush after ambush, defeat after defeat, ann spent three years being chased through a Tzaran Storm, only to come out the end with only the command ship intact and the enemy fleet barely damaged. The Lati in question had the gall to return to Nafok Aguot and request more troops, even insulting the Laka Council when they refused his request. At that, the Council unanimously agreed to execute him on the spot, for both insulting them, destroying an entire legion and fleet without a single gain, and having the gall not to go down with their troops. So enraged were they, that they decreed the entire Dynasty was to be hunted to extinction.
Most of the members were killed, their assets seized and repurpossed by the eager Lati. Some, notable the now Laka Cairn, took their assets and defected to the hunting Houses, using their resources as a resume to gain asylum within their walls. The last dozen or so Lati were spared, as a warning to the Dynasties of the dangers of disrespect. The House of Adaw was officially dissolved, its remaining members rebranding as the True Children of Adaw.
