Somber Lands
The Somber Lands refers to the Eastern area of Albietha, West of the Far Lands and South of the Willows. It contains the Protected Territories with the capital city of Erziehen and Jiangke with the capital city of Anzen-Sei.
The Somber Lands is a diverse biome, categorized by hilly deserts, craggy mountains, and vast plains. The central areas of the continent are rife with Bottled Earth and Bottled Fire, being the driest and hottest parts of the continent. Due to the large number of settlements in the Somber Lands and its sheer size, the region is also rife with piracy and organized crime. The intense security Erziehen provides to settlements in Albietha and on The Ezriehen Railroad is due in dual part to the Malignancy and the rampant piracy outside the major cities.
The Somber Lands is also the location of the ruins of Hackering, where the Malignancy is believed to have originated on Albietha, spreading outward from the center of the continent.
