Gale's Cairn
Overview
Location
Gale's Cairn is located West of the ruins of Gavland and South of Torun's Deluge. The Cairn and the Deluge are not actually separate locations, but the Deluge marks the location at which the ground returns beneath the Cairn.Geography
The Cairn is only accessible by way of the mountains, most easily by travelling South from Torun's Deluge. Travelling Southward, one finds that the ground beneath the Cairn has collapsed, and descends seemingly beyond perception. The abyss is instead filled by a constant force of rushing wind that twirls up from the ground.Wildlife
While the occasional Longleg finds its way among the Cairn, giving a strange ironic credence to the location's name, the primary creatures found in the area are skyfish and Adarathus, who utilize the area's natural winds to snatch up prey.History and Mythology
The creation of Gale's Cairn is accredited to Gale. The god was known for acts of violence out of sheer apathy, and the massive gorges carved into Orde are said to be the work of nothing more than a whim. Gale's exact motivations are unknown, though popular myth claims they wanted to know if they could reach the center of Orde with noting but the wind.
