Early modern human or anatomically modern humans are terms used to distinguish homo sapiens that are anatomically consistent with the rage of phenotypes seen in contemporary humans from extinct archaic human species. The English word "human" is a Middle English loanword from Old French "humain", ultimately from Latin "hūmānus", the adjectival form of homō (man).

Sapience

They are a sapient species that is said to have formed from apes. However, a lot of human knowledge comes from what was taught to them by the stroansians.

Culture

Humans are considered mundane, and a typical mortal who mentally blocks out what they don't think is correct in terms of normal. If a human notices a strange creature, such as a hellhound, they'll attempt to warp the image into that of a normal creature, like a bull mastiff in place of a hellhound.
When a human can see into the In-Between, they are brought to a private location and usually tested to see if they have an ancestor with essetid or stroansian blood. Even then, their mind might not be able to handle it and they would be driven insane or attempt to come up with a "logical" explanation for whatever they've seen.
Humans are aware of the Cosmos War going on and hwile most tend to stay out of it, some enlist in the military for special benefits.

The Sight

Very rarely, a human will pop up with the ability called the sight due to having an ancestor with stroansian or grosant blood. This allows them to see the In-Between without having to undergo the process known as forced sight.

Genetic Descendants

Some genetic descendants that come from a human are essetids and oxlians. An essetid is usually born when a stroansian and a human procreate, while an oxlian is born from the conception of a human and a grosant. Oxlian are considered vile and usually publiclly executed when located.
