New Treaath

New Treaath is a small village of wood elves in the Sword Mountains near Icespire Peak.

Guilds and Factions

The residents of New Treaath were originally from the wood elf village Treaath in the Kryptgarden Forest, and some of them were sympathetic to the mission of the Cult of the Dragon. Others wanted nothing to do with the Cult of the Dragon after living for more than 100 years under the rule of the ancient green dragon Claugiyliamatar.

History

In 1472, the ancient green dragon Claugiyliamatar banished nearly the entire wood elf village of Treaath in the event known as the "Great Exile." A small group of the exiled elves traveled into the Sword Mountains and settled near Icespire Peak, naming their new home "New Treaath."

The group of elves who created New Treaath was organized by Taliah Greenshadow, a druid member of the Green Claw and one of the few residents that Claugiyliamatar didn't banish. Claugiyliamatar originally wanted to destroy the entire village after learning that one of her servants was stealing from her horde, but Taliah convinced the dragon to banish them instead. Taliah then asked her son Shinzon Greenshadow to accompany a group of older villagers and help them establish their new home.

Shinzon helped the group build New Treaath, including homes, farms and defenses. He also helped the village establish a chain of command in which the elders led the younger residents.
