Mount Hotenow

Mount Hotenow is the tallest peak in the Crags, a mountain range northeast of Neverwinter in the Sword Coast. Mount Hotenow is a volcano, and its volcanic effects on Neverwinter and its mysterious connection to the elemental plane of fire helped give the city its name.

When the campaign started, a group of miners employed by Berrian Venhorn was frequently seen traveling to and from Mount Hotenow. Dadduth Snowjaw was a part of the mining group. After Berrian Venhorn escaped a battle against Conor McGregor, Herb and Jory Undammuth at Goat Lips, Quinner Knox took over management of the mining operation.

On Day 3 of the campaign (16 Tarsakh), Jory Undammuth and Bory Undammuth started traveling from the Triboar Trail to Mount Hotenow. Bory convinced Jory to join him because he was suspicious of their father Zogg Undammuth's secretive plans, and he was worried the rest of their family was in danger.

On Day 13 (26 Tarsakh), Reidoth and Gwenlinn parted ways with Collateral Damage after escaping combat against Venomfang in Thundertree. They started traveling to Neverwinter on behalf of the Emerald Enclave to speak with the Lords' Alliance about the concerning tremors coming from Mount Hotenow.

On Day 16 (29 Tarsakh), Collateral Damage found a sending stone in Wave Echo Cave. Herb Stoner used the stone to say "Hello, what do you know about Wave Echo Cave? Shall we share knowledge? What is the missing magic? We are known as 'Collateral Damage.'" They received a message back, saying "Hello Collateral Damage. Stones not used in centuries. Don’t know Wave Echo Cave. Share knowledge, yes. We’re Mount Hotenow elves. Trapped by giants and goliaths."

On Day 20 (2 Mirtul), Herb received another message on the sending stone, saying "Collateral Damage, will you help? It's been four days. Giants and goliaths at Mount Hotenow enslaving us. We have hidden treasures, will pay for rescue."
