Church of Eighteen Eyes

The Church of Eighteen Eyes is a massive, yet loosely defined organisation, that oversees and controls the orthodox worship of the nine Gods of Glüm within Syvat. Technically, the Church is led by the Vikarii, the ten mortal representatives of the Gods, who rule from within the Vekhen Empire. These figures control vast armies of bishops, priests, clerics, and other clergy in pursuit of the worldly goals of the Church. Despite this, the Church is anything but unified or centralised, and doctrine varies wildly from country to country, and even from village to village.
It is of note that the Church, whilst being the accepted orthodox authorities on the Gods, is seperate from the Gods Themselves. In truth, the Gods appear to care little for doctrine, dogma, and the matter of worship — or even morallity and their tennants — so long as they are worshipped and given respect. This is a fact hotly rejected by the Church, however.
