Saint Urra Farwander

Saint Urra Farwander (a.k.a. The Enlightened)

Saint Urra Farwander — known as Urra Farwander in life — was a Syrinx from beyond the seas of the Eastern Shores who, whilst undergoing a pilgrimmage for the Lord of Bridges & Baubles, founded the city of Urra's Rest.

Divine Domains

Saint Urra Farwander is a patron saint of those seeking revelation and beauty, as well as those who have found peace and happiness where they are.

Artifacts

The thirteen baubles Urra carried until their death were revealed to be magically captured buildings which, upon activation, expanded into the first thirteen permanent buildings of the city that would come to be called Urra's Rest. These buildings were established in accordance with the wishes of Urra Farwander as outlined in her journal.

Holy Books & Codes

Those who found and heard her speak uncovered a journal she had kept, written — apparently — in her own blood as she flew. The journal is written in a language that is unknown upon Syvat, and is believed to be one spoken across the ocean. It shares some similarities to Armimez and Noraddim, however, and is firmly considered part of the Farric language family. The text has since been read (though not decoded) via spellcraft, and is held as a sacred text of the Lord of Bridges & Baubles, for it describes their travels and communications with the God.

Personal history

Little is known about Urra Farwander, other than that she appeared in Syvat "...from over the horizon, approaching on gleaming wings drenched in her own blood and sweat." She is believed to have flown under her own power across the oceans stretching beyond the Eastern Shores, alighting on the beaches, and revealing thirteen baubles from a pack she carried. Her only recorded words were "This here is the most beautiful cove, for it is one exactly like all others across the world" before dying from exhaustion.   Some scholars believe Saint Urra was a member of the Shirikkem, a culture believed to live beyond the Furthest Shore, and that her name is a Syvatticised version of the Kulam word "Shurura."
