Kaharota

The Kaharota (adj. Kaharotan) are an umbrella cultural group that encompasses many of the peoples within the Vekhen Empire, specifically — but not exclusively — those of the Heartlands of central Syvat. Given the imperialistic nature of the Empire, many local cultures have been subsumed into the wider Kaharotan culture. Kaharota are stereotyped as being overly pious, concerned with laws and order, rigid in morality, yet enterprising, brave, and open minded about science and learning, specifically as it pertains to magic. They are an extremely cosmopolitan and multi-species culture, with no clear majorities. They typically speak Common Vulgar.
