Vorcien Family

The Vorcien family is a powerful guild-family, among the largest and wealthiest. They have a family estate located near the top of Family Hill. Their silic sigil is an inverted triangle crossed with the wavy lines of a sun setting over the desert, the of skyglass. They have also adopted light blue as their guild-family color, so their associates wear light blue client paint on their fingers. They also own the High Vorcien Club.   The Vorcien patriarch is Stutd Vorcien, who sits on the Inner Assembly, and he has nine full-blood Vorcien children, including Sibrial Vorcien and Capric Vorcien. Kissandra Vorcien is his bastard child but still retains his last name and some of the privileges of the guild-family's power.   STORY   After Adriana Grappo's death, Capric Vorcien offers Demir Grappo the opportunity to make the Grappo a client guild-family of the Vorcien, a deal that offered protection and economic support which would allow Demir to keep living abroad and not worry about his mother's properties or affairs. Despite the generosity of the offer, Demir knows the patronage would also curtail his freedom, so he declines.   Gorian wears the client paint of the Vorcien, giving him reason to know and work with Kissandra Vorcien in her investigation. After Gorian and the other Vorcien client national guardsmen are murdered by the Tall Man in Watchhouse #187, Father Vorcien orders his majordomo to take care survivors as a dutiful patron, though it is also implied he does this to keep the incident under wraps.
