High Vorcien Club
The High Vorcien Club is a sprawling, single-story entertainment club located on the edge of the Family District. Owned by Sibrial Vorcien and overseen by Veterixi Jorn, the club caters to the highest elite guild-family members, offering them gambling, dazeglass, food, cigars, and private cudgeling matches, amongst other things.
STORY
Despite being at odds with her half-brother Sibrial Vorcien, Kissandra Vorcien goes to the High Vorcien Club to learn about Glissandi Magna from Veterixi Jorn. Despite Veterixi's warning to avoid her half-brother, Kizzie is seen by Sibrial, who follows her out, fully intending to beat or even kill her. She only manages to talk him down by mentioning Baby Montego is back in Ossa.
Demir Grappo confronts Capric Vorcien at the club, demanding he come out and face accusations about the truth of the Holikan massacre. Veterixi tries to defuse the situation, but Capric's confession under the influence of shackleglass leads Demir to challenge his old friend to a duel to the death. None of the High Vorcien Club members volunteer to act as Demir's second, knowing it would result in a lifetime ban from the club, along with the enmity of the Vorcien, but a passing traveler named Izzi volunteers. The Cinders break up the duel before Capric and Demir can kill each other.
