Graveyard

Geography

Graveyard lies on the west, between East T@Ö#Å3, Haunted Forest and Wasteland. It's the smallest area of the world, and though it's so close to other other areas and East T@Ö#Ä3 itself seems to be one of the hardest to get to. It's the last stop between the world of the living and the world of the dead, and only accessible by taking a ride with the guy who goes back and forth between Graveyard and Wasteland with his unicorn drawn carriage. It's technically still a part of Wasteland and shares its climate as well as plants and animals living there.

Nature

Graveyard shares most of its characteristics regarding nature with Wasteland. It's a baren and dead place, with nothing more than insects and occasional dirt snakes. Rare Dead Trees and Dead Flowers can be found here, but you'll soon see there's a reason why this area was chosen to be the graveyard of the world.

Towns

This whole area is a town, but not town for the living, but town for the dead. The only thing here are numerous black crosses put up in the memory of the people who have departed from this realm of living, and some who later came back too. However, Graveyard blends into Wasteland through an area said to be inhabited by bat people. They live in castles surrounding Graveyard, and run Graveyard Hideout that is located right on the border of the two areas. This area may or may not be considered a part of the one or the other area. It would technically fall under Wasteland, but most people consider it creepy and abandoned; even people of wasteland prefer to stay away. As such, it is usually considered to be a part of Graveyard.

People

There doesn't seem to be any people here at first glance, but this is not entirely true. Small castle town between Graveyard and Wasteland is inhabited by bat people. They are another species of people created to be better adapted to live in caves, as bats usually would. They never spread out from this area; they are an eccentric bunch who usually like to keep to themselves. They built their reputation on old legends of vampires, the blood sucking undead race of people, known for hanging around creepy places, such as graveyards and living in old castles. To keep up the charade, and because this area is so cut off from the rest of the world, they also enjoy the fact that many people aren't convinced of their existence at all.

The reality is a bit different though. They are in no way the mysterious legendary vampires. In fact, their species is based on the fruit bats. They don't drink blood at all, they just enjoy eating fruit and drinking red colored drinks that may appear as blood to any random stranded outsider who encounters them. They are really much closer to mole people, and apart from a few minor specific traits still enough of the same species to be able to mix in and even have children with moles. Which is not unheard of. Some of them aren't completely on board with the lifestyle the community maintains. They move to the areas of EastCity of T@Ö#Ä3 close to Graveyard where they live among other people, trying to not seem sus. They are very important in getting all the fruits and fruit drinks over to their buddies living in Graveyard area. Though it happens extremely rarely and is heavily frowned upon by the community, they may get involved with moles and have children with them. But that's a whole different story.

The other kind of people you'll find here are the dead. You see, you may die, but you still have to actually be taken to hell by Silver Man and Woman. If they are for some reason unable to get to you, either because you were killed and the killed hid your body really well, or maybe you ran away and hid because Hell is scary AF, you'll stay here, trapped between the world of the living and world of the dead. These people tend to hang out in Graveyard and Graveyard Hideout, or sometimes move in with bat people who are willing to welcome them in their homes. They live in the state between being alive and dead, still a person, but yet somehow robbed of all that meda them /them/. It's a tragic situation, but still preferable to Hell for some.

Resources

There's nothing here of use to the outside world. Similar to Wasteland, there likely would have been ancient artefacts and bones of long dead people buried in the ground here, but bat people living here aren't into digging them up. They prefer to live here by themselves, cut off from the rest of the world.

Other

This area seemingly doesn't have much concrete to offer, but it is the source of many creepy and mysterious legends. The ones of vampires and the dead supposedly living here, to the ones relating to the origin of Graveyard itself.

People tend to do things and follow ancient traditions, such as putting up crosses for the dead, black color and burying burial boxes in the ground, but the real origin of many of these traditions got lost to time. However, there are a lot of legends and speculations about them, such as the one with burial boxes. In present time, burying of the burial box is only symbolic, but it is believed that in ancient times people actually buried their dead in similar, yet larger, person sized, boxes. And if this isn't terrifying enough, stories are heard as a part of vampire legends that people would even go the extra lengths to prevent the dead to return form the grave, such as putting stones in their mouths or burying them with sickles around their necks etc.. but who's to say they didn't do that to no vampire people too? Even burning their bodies was a pretty common thing back then, and they seemed to be pretty dead set on not letting people peacefully pass on to the afterlife, but made sure to confine them to this world for eternity instead. It's hard to believe the brutality of these traditions and it's surely a story that keeps many up at night. The souls haunting the Haunted Forest are said to be the souls of these people, stuck here as they were never able to pass on, with their body being stuck here and all ._.
