Graveyard Hideout

History and bat people

Graveyard Hideout is located in Graveyard, close to the border with Wasteland.

It is one of those old buildings that can be found here, the ones predating the apocalypse. Like other buildings here, the apocalypse left it in ruis. It remained in this state for years and years after the apocalypse, even after people have returned to the surface and rebuilt this world. This is not unusual, as they left the area now known as Wasteland and it’s old buildings mainly intact, despite still living here. Graveyard Hideout might have been still left in the state of ruin, were it not for the bat people who moved here.

Bat people aren’t anything special; aside from their DNA being crossed with bats rather than naked mole rats, they are pretty much the same as mole people. But they are an eccentric bunch. Being a minority in the world, living in this place almost cut off from the rest of the world, they enjoy maintaining their mysterious status. They adopted the ancient legends of vampires as their own and lead people to believe that they are these nocturnal blood sucking creatures, which for many people creates doubt if they exist at all. But in reality they are just fruit bats who most enjoy drinking fruity cocktails.

However, to maintain their image, they enjoy doing many things that were associated with the ancient vampires, one of them being hanging out near graveyards. And so, they moved to this area, between Haunted Forest, Wasteland and Graveyard. Here they rebuilt some buildings and created their own settlement. One of these buildings that lies a bit out of their town and closer to Graveyard is none other than Graveyard Hideout.

Graveyard Hideout Today

Graveyard Hideout is today owned by Vladimir and his brothers Kazimir and Boromir. It is a popular hangout spot for bats, the dead who escaped Hell, and occasional visitors from other areas of the world. It offers a variety of fun activities such as card games, board games, dining area for hosting events, and rooms, should you want to spend a night or two. But beware, outsiders who aren’t vampires or the dead may not always be welcome here. They do get to be a bit picky about who they let in, as this place always seems to be full of people. Some come to hang out for the evening, some stay overnight, and some even for a few days. It became especially popular for the dead to hide here in hopes of being able to avoid going to Hell. However, if you do happen to be an outsider who was let in, you better expect to spend the night in fear of having your blood sucked by one of the suspicious vampires residing there and giving you the stink eye form the dimly lit corners of the room, sipping their glass of suspiciously red drink.

Inside Graveyard Hideout

1st Floor

Graveyard Hideout lies in a convenient area, surrounded by the black crosses of Graveyard, dead trees and other ruins, which make it a bit tricky to find if you don’t know where to look for it. Once you find it, you’ll be faced with a tall dark stone building. Three stories with high ceilings, make it almost hard to believe that this building manages to remain so hard to find. Large heavy wooden gates will lead you into a spacious, yet dark room. Here you’ll be greeted by blak and red Victorian decor, monstour stone statues, bouquets of dried flowers and paintings of people long dead and forgotten, whose eyes always seem to follow you, illuminated by candlelight of ornate chandeliers and candle holders. Don’t count on being let in if you’re not a bat or dead though, but if you are lucky, you might be invited to play a card game or chess, or maybe even don't wake the llama if you happen to be a sim visiting this place in your game - sim build version of it absolutely does exist. In the back of the room there is a bar, serving primarily red colored fruity cocktai- I mean blood, as most of the visitors here are either totally legit vampires, or the dead who don’t require sustenance anyway. If you're thirsty just ask for some water, just in case.

2nd Floor

Behind the bar, you’ll find a staircase leading you up to the next floor. Here is a large dining room that features a pipe organ. Nothing creates the creepy vampiric atmosphere here like live pipe organ music played by a very real vampire. This is rented out to outsiders form Wasteland and City of T@Ö#Ä3 who like to throw parties, organize dinners, even celebrate weddings or other special events here. Though bats don't like to have too many outsdiers around to avoid the chance of someone finding out the truth about them, they do know how to market their image. Especially the type of people living in City of T@Ö#Ä3 and Wasteland are always up to explore these creepy obscure places, and it's this vampiric image that draws people here. The ones who know where to find it and dare to come here, that is. If you do decide to host an event here you’re on your own when it comes to catering though. No one here eats food, they don't know about food, they can't help you, sorry. They might have some rusty keys flavored blood clot cereal in stock if that helps.

3dr Floor

From here, you can make your way up the stairs to the top floor, where you’ll find bedrooms placed along a confusingly laid out hallway. You’ll find each one of these is different. Some are larger, some are smaller, some have a double bed, a desk, even a bookcase, while others are just big enough for a single coffin. As reported in ancient writings, these were a popular choice for sleep and rest among vampires and the dead. There are only seven rooms available though, and they might be hard to get. Better check and make a reservation in advance. The rooms are usually inhabited by the dead who escaped Hell, vampire couples spending a romantic vacation here, or lost wanderers form Wasteland or T@Ö#Ä3 making their way through here.
Below you can see an example of a bedroom with a bed, and one with a coffin.
