Quasarblaze
Ashton Raleigh (a.k.a. Ash)
"Unlike you losers, I've got a fan base that expects to see some action.""Big deal, you have a blog."
"It's a war journal. And I am connected, honey. I know lots of supers. And more importantly, they know me."
Brash, overconfident, and image-obsessed, the teen hero Quasarblaze is always looking for an angle to boost his image and celebrity. In his secret identity as Ash Raleigh, he's said to have come from a wealthy family, but was sent to public school at Faraday City Midtown High School as a "character building" exercise by his parents. There, he quickly became a bully, especially when backed up by his muscular yes-man, Wade McGrath, also known as the teen hero, Triggerhappy.
Quasarblaze's arrogance and sexism ultimately brought him to blows with Prodigious Girl, who goaded him into using his apparently significant connections within the metahuman community (many of them working outside the law) into attacking Demetria's Sanctuary.
Significantly in doing so, PG was forced to reveal her secret identity to Blaze. However, with the assistance of her friend Caleb, she seems to have thrown him off the scent, at least for the time being.

Powers and Abilities
Most of Blaze's abilities come from his powered armor, but it's implied that he may also have metahuman abilities that give him some affinity with machines. It does seem unlikely that his parents would have bought him the armor, or that a high school student would have the technical skill to create them without significant assistance. However, it's implied that he used his underground connections to get at least some of the parts, since his armor includes an illegal neural disruptor.
- Technology Manipulation (unconfirmed)
Items and Equipment
Blaze's most significant equipment is the powered armor that he wears. He has been seen in two different versions, but there may be more. The armor gives him significant offensive and defensive capabilities.- Quasarblaze's Mark I Armor -
This Mark I armor is what Quasarblaze wore while he was teaming up
with the Faraday Irregulars. Tough and capable, the armor was
defensively strong, had flight systems and some measure of strength
enhancement. In terms of weapons, its known systems had integrated
blasters, as well as the 360-degree energy flechette emitters for his
signature "Supernova Strike" maneuver.
Category: Weapon, Defense - Quasarblaze's Mark II Armor -
Quasarblaze's Mark II armor that he wore during the battle at
The Sanctuary seemed to be a marked improvement over the Mark I in
every way. The defenses had grown strong enough that Prodigious Girl
was only barely able to make a dent, and the weapons systems had also
become more deadly and varied, and included:- Energy blasters
- His signature "Supernova Strike" move that sends out a barrage
of lethal energy flechettes in all directions - Neural disruptor (illegal)
- Electroshock shielding
- Hypersonic emitters
- IntelliComm ("iComm")
- CosFit (presumably)
- Warp Space Storage (presumably)
Affiliations
- Sidekick of Arcturus, and an associate member of The Liberty Squadron
- Former member of the informal hero group, The Faraday Irregulars
- Best friends with Triggerhappy
Known Relatives
- Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh (parents, unnamed)

Motivation
Significantly, he also seems to be making a concerted effort to ingratiate himself with various members of the metahuman community (both heroes and villains). Whether he has a purpose for doing so, or if this is merely an end in itself is unclear.
