Elama Liadon

Lady Elama Liadon (born 21 Eleint 1342) is a female eladrin Shiere Knight in service of the fey Summer Court. She is married to Ander Liadon, is the biological mother of Sariel Liadon and the adoptive mother of Enna Liadon. The Liadons have been knights of Queen Titania for thousands of years, and Elama is no exception.

Personal history

Elama was born on 21 Eleint 1342 DR, the Autumn Equinox, in the city of Senaliesse in the Feywild. Born to the Liadon family, Elama was immediately destined to become the latest in a long line of Shiere Knights in service of Queen Titania of the Summer Court. From a very early age, Elama was trained in various knightly arts such as swordplay, athletics, archery, magic, and courtly intrigue. Her training continued for a century, until at the age of 100 she was finally considered an adult and joined the ranks of the Shiere Knights.
Her first field assignment was fighting the fomorians in the Feydark, a task which she excelled at. She was also particularly good at getting her way in court, using her charms as effectively as her sword. After she was caught one too many times in a bedchamber she wasn't supposed to be in, she was elected to duel a champion of the Gloaming Court to settle a dispute. Against all odds, she successfully defeated the champion, showing mercy in the process.
In 1468 DR, Elama came across a heavily injured human who had just crossed a fey passage. Elama spent several months healing the man, who was named Ander Stormwind . The two very quickly fell in love, and Elama got to work convincing the Summer Court to accept a human as a member of their ranks. In early 1470 DR, the two married; later that year, Elama gave birth to a daughter, who she named Sariel. Although she was famed for her many victories as a knight, Elama was also a target of various nobles she had wronged, and wanted to keep her daughter safe. Ander convinced her to allow Sariel to grow up in a safe orphanage in the Material Plane, at a place Ander trusted.
Despite keeping Sariel out of the machinations of the Summer Court, Elama felt regret over being unable to raise her daughter. When she discovered that a noble of the Summer Court wanted to hide an illegitimate daughter named Enna, Elama stepped in to adopt the young half-elf, raising her as her own daughter.
Despite her orphanage burning down and growing up on the streets, Sariel eventually followed a mysterious dagger to the Feywild, where she made her way to Senaliesse and finally reunited with her parents. Like Elama, Sariel pledged herself to Queen Titania, though the young half-elf isn't a knight just yet.

History

Until her early twenties, Sariel had no idea who her mother was. Eventually she bumbled her way into the Feywild and to Senaliesse. After giving her name to a guard, she was quickly summoned to her parents' residence, where she had a tearful reunion.

Sariel often returns to Senaliesse to give reports to other agents of the Summer Queen, most often her mother. Elama often pranks her daughter upon the latter's arrival, but Sariel finds that amusing.

Description

A proud Shiere Knight of Queen Titania and the Summer Court, Elama Liadon has trained for decades to serve and defend her people.

In combat, Elama charges headfirst into battle, attacking the strongest enemy in melee. She tries to get as many enemies' attention as possible, relying on her powerful armour to protect her. If she's run out of enemies to engage in melee, she summons her oathbow and attacks from range. Unless she can benefit from a positive effect, she tries to stay away from allies to avoid area of effect attacks.

Special Equipment. Elama wears a set of +1 mithral full plate and a mantle of spell resistance (accounted for in her statistics). She can summon a magical moonblade or an oathbow. She also wields a +1 shield.
Shiere Weapons. Elama can summon any simple or martial weapon, or her moonblade or oathbow, as an action. Any weapon summoned in this way is considered a +1 weapon, and can act as a focus for her spells. If a weapon requires ammunition, it is provided. Her moonblade, oathbow, and any weapons summoned through this feature are made from magical energy and can only be wielded by her. Elama uses her Charisma modifier for attack and damage rolls with her summoned weapons.
Fey Ancestry. Elama has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put her to sleep.
Brave. Elama has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Enchanting Presence. Any non-eladrin creature that starts its turn within 60 feet of Elama must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is charmed by Elama for 1 minute. On a successful save, the creature becomes immune to any eladrin's Enchanting Presence for 24 hours. Whenever Elama deals damage to the charmed creature, the creature can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Innate Spellcasting. Elama's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 16). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

3/day each: cure wounds (as a 5th-level spell), enthrall, lesser restoration

Oathbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 5) piercing damage, plus an extra 10 (3d6) piercing damage against a sworn enemy. See the oathbow entry for the other properties.

Bonus Actions

Fey Step (Recharge 4-6). Elama teleports, along with any equipment she is wearing or carrying, to an unoccupied space she can see within 30 feet of her.

Reactions

Parry. Elama adds 4 to her AC against one melee attack that would hit her. To do so, Elama must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.
