Special abilities
Her spell selection is chosen to augment her existing abilities, with spells like invisibility, hold person, and misty step. In addition, her connection with the Feywild greatly augments her eyesight, allowing her to see perfectly in even magical darkness. Due to her fey magic and training, Sariel has an uncanny ability to wield any weapon she picks up. While she has training in some weapons, such as bows and daggers, she intutitively knows how to use anything she wields. However, as soon as she thinks about how she's wielding the weapon, her intuition breaks down, and she forgets how to use it.
Apparel & Accessories
"I'm not putting those pants on."
Her typical adventuring outfit is a simple brown leather vest, shoulder pads, and faulds. She also wears leather bracers and gloves to protect her forearms, but leaves her upper arm uncovered. Sariel has a preference for expensive, comfortable leather boots. She usually wears them below the knee, and wears long stockings up to her thighs.
Sariel also owns a set of mithral half-plate, custom designed for her. This was at the request of her mother, who trains her in the ways of Shiere Knights. The armour has a fairly typical, if form-fitting torso section, including arm guards. However, she wears little more than a skirt, armoured boots, and stockings to protect her legs.
Sariel's cold-weather gear is one of the few times she'll cover her legs. It is comprised of a fur-lined tunic with a long-sleeved shirt underneath, a warm woolen shawl, brown tights over stockings, and fur boots. She wears this outfit during the late months of the year or when she's adventuring far up north.
While swimming, Sariel wears virtually nothing. Usually, it's nothing more than a set of a black underclothes. When adventuring, she is known to wear a belt with pouches, strap a diving knife to her thigh, and wear a specially-made backpack.
Sariel's most expansive part of her wardrobe is her fancy dresses, which she keeps at least a dozen of. They range from relatively modest (for her), all the way to leaving extremely little to the imagination. Her choice of dress is usually determined by her plans for the evening.
Specialized Equipment
In addition to various specialised tools, Sariel is also adept at using what appear to be random objects to their fullest extent - caltrops or ball bearings to slow opponents, sawdust to reveal invisible foes, a crowbar and shovel to make entry easier, among many other items stored in her Bag of Holding.

Personal history
"Unbutton your shirt more. They'll be too distracted to remember your face."
In 1494 DR, Sariel, Valna Mellerelel, and Nathxena Fey formed a group they called the Arrowheads, which was an informal adventuring party within the Ardent. Soon, Enna Liadon and Sariel's new friend Emilia Leveva were invited in, and the group was made an official independent team within the Ardent.

Education
Employment
Her current profession is that of an adventurer, which she began in 1492 DR. After gaining experience traveling the Sword Coast and working for the Ardent, she formed a semi-independent adventuring group called the Arrowheads. She acts as the de facto leader of the group with a number of other adventurers. Many people who have heard of her exploits through the book Storm King's Thunder come to her for a variety of reasons, usually adventuring related.

Likes & Dislikes
Sariel loves being the centre of everyone's attention, almost always regardless of context - this leads her to dress scantily and act boldly, so the spotlight is on her. She also enjoys sharing a bed with someone overnight. Sariel doesn't particularly have a least favourite colour, but if she had to pick, it would be pink. One of her biggest dislikes is being cold while sleeping, as it's something else that reminds her of her time on the streets. She also especially doesn't like wearing pants, but makes an exception during the cold months of the year. Sariel doesn't particularly have a fondness for the wealthy or nobles, but can put that behind her if they prove themselves willing to do good.

In terms of less active hobbies, stargazing is another hobby she shares with Nathxena Fey and Emilia Leveva. Other hobbies of hers include going out for drinks with her friends, archery contests, or playing card games with her friends.
Speech
While she rarely admits it, Sariel is also very good at singing. Her preferred style is the soft, melodic singing often sung by elves.
Relationships
History
"I know she's a thief, because she stole my heart."
Sariel and Nathxena met on 2 Uktar, 1492, in a tavern in Silverymoon. They quickly took a liking to each other, drinking and swapping stories. Nathxena was looking for a way out of Menzoberranzan, and Sariel was the first person the half-drow had ever felt she could trust. The next morning, Nathxena accepted Sariel's offer to join the Ardent.
The duo have been on multiple adventures, including getting a major criminal arrested by way of a fancy ball, surviving on a mystical island in the Feywild, and stopping the schemes of several giant lords. The two have become extremely close during these adventures, and rarely spend much time apart.
Nicknames & Petnames
Sariel's nicknames for Nathxena are usually just her name shorted to Nat or Xena. Nathxena's nicknames for Sariel are usually Sarry or Ell, also shortened forms of the latter's name.
Relationship Reasoning
While Sariel just liked Nathxena from the start, Nathxena found Sariel the first person she could really trust and open up with. While the two find each other very attractive, it's this unique trust and openness that Nathxena has with Sariel that really draws them together. This is compounded by the fact that Sariel was the first person to offer Nathxena a safe place to live and an exciting job. Over time, their shared experiences and hardhsips adventuring have forged an incredibly tight bond between the two.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
The two have a large number of similarities and shared interests. They share general goals of justice and freedom, as well as defeating various threats to the Sword Coast. Their strengths are also similar - acrobatics, skill at stealth, archery, persuasive talent, and attractiveness. Further, their weaknesses are aligned as well - a lack of physical strength, and both have a tendency to fall for a pretty face. They both share hobbies, such as rock climbing, archery, theft, sneaking where they shouldn't be, running on city roofs, and sharing a drink at the tavern.
Shared Acquaintances
Both Sariel and Nathxena are members of the Ardent, and both know most of the adventurers and staff in it. They both share a friend in Valna Mellerelel, who is a member of the Arrowheads. Both of the half-elves are also close friends with the young bronze dragon Zelifarn, regularly going on adventures together. Both are co-owners of The Bronze Dragon, and personally know all the employees well.
History
"Sariel's one of the most wonderful people I've ever met. Gods, I hope she never hears this."
Emilia and Sariel met in early 1494 DR in a tavern in Waterdeep. Sariel's other friends were busy that night, so she decided to strike up a conversation with who she thought the most attractive person in the room was - which happened to be Emilia (Emilia drinking red wine also helped). They talked for the entire evening, and ended up spending the next day together as well.
Sariel kept in close contact with Emilia, and after the founding of the Arrowheads, asked the human to join. Emilia accepted, and has since been one of the core five members of the group.
Nicknames & Petnames
Sariel's nickname for Emilia - and the name she prefers to call her - is Emmy. On the other hand, Emilia does not use any nicknames for Sariel, preferring to use her full name.
Shared Acquaintances
As members of the Arrowheads, both Sariel and Emilia are close friends with Valna Mellerelel, Nathxena Fey, and Enna Liadon. They are also friends with Aym Twinhorn and Zelifarn, associates of the Arrowheads.
History
Sariel and Valna first met in late 1492 DR when the latter signed up to join the nascent Ardent. Although Valna is over twice Sariel's age, the half-elf was much more experienced as an adventurer, having been involved in the events of Storm King's Thunder. Sariel took a liking to the wood elf when she first met her, and devoted time to training Valna. Valna's skill lay in archery, and the two often practiced at night in the Ardeep Forest outside of Ardent Keep. While Sariel was an accomplished short-range archer, Valna quickly proved herself to be a masterful markswoman, hitting targets at extreme ranges with accuracy and power. Sariel has also attempted to teach Valna about various social skills, to surprising success. Following the events involving the Ardent in 1493-94 DR, Sariel, Valna, and Nathxena Fey formed a semi-independent adventuring party called the Arrowheads.
History
Sariel and Enna bumped into each other in mid 1493 DR when the former complimented the latter's outfit. They began talking, and soon realised they were both adventurers. They agreed to keep in touch, but both somehow managed to avoid saying their surname. It wouldn't be until a month later, during the Autumn Equinox, that they ventured into the Feywild together and learned from their mother that they were adopted sisters.
The two continued to keep in touch and visit the Feywild together, and go on the occasional adventure. About a year later, Sariel invited Enna to join the newly-founded Arrowheads adventuring group. Enna accepted immediately.
Nicknames & Petnames
Enna occasionally refers to Sariel as 'Sis', but otherwise doesn't use nicknames. Sariel refers to Enna as 'En', especially when they're around Emilia Leveva, who Sariel calls 'Em'. Sariel also sometimes refers to her sister as 'Sis'.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Enna and Sariel are very similar, though Enna is slightly taller and larger. They share the Liadon family's dexterity, endurance, and charisma, even though Enna is not a Liadon by blood. The sisters also share a strong distaste for pants, preferring short skirts and thigh-high stockings or boots to pants. The two enjoy spending time together in taverns, where Sariel can draw most of the attention away from Enna. Enna's dislike of deception softens when around Sariel, and the two occasionally engage in pranks or thieving together.
Due to her specialty as a bladesinger, Enna teaches Sariel in the arts of swordplay, magic, and dance. In return, Sariel teaches Enna stealth, charm, and fey magic.
History
Aial and Sariel met in 1491 in the city of Waterdeep. It was Aial's first major trip to the city by himself, and he accidentally ran into the half-elf, knocking her over. After helping her pick up her dropped items, the two later bonded over drinks in a nearby tavern and decided to stick with each other for a while. They took on some minor jobs and bounties around Waterdeep, but eventually a notice led them to the small town of Nightstone a few days away. It was there that the two met Baron Wislaw Jansobski, and the trio embarked on a quest to save the Sword Coast from the giants. After months of travel and adventure, the land was saved and the king of the storm giants rescued. Sariel and Aial continued to adventure together, and Aial used his newfound wealth to create the Ardent. Currently, Aial is the Lord Ardentor - the leader of the Ardent - while Sariel is his confidant.
Nicknames & Petnames
While Sariel often calls Aial "Feathers", referring to his being an aarakocra, Aial always uses her name instead of a nickname. In private though, Aial refers to her as "Little Wing".
Relationship Reasoning
Sariel and Aial have been friends essentially from the moment they met. Their relationship only grew over the several months travelling together, preferring each others' company to that of the noble Wislaw. Since the end of their big adventure, they have continued to spend time together as members of the Ardent.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Adventuring is the strongest common bond that unites Sariel and Aial. Aside from that, a shared interest the two have is that of magical arts and spellcasting. Aial occasionally spends time attempting to teach Sariel how to use her magic, as her aptitiude is fairly limited compared to his.
History
Sariel and Ashe were originally both members of the Baldur's Gate Circus Troupe, acting as acrobats and actresses. They developed a rivalry, constantly attempting to outdo each other. When they both joined The Guild, their rivalry only deepened. However, over time, their attitudes towards each other softened. After several years, they finally decided to sit down and really talk to each other for the first time - where they discovered they had far more in common than they thought. Since that day, the two have been friends, albeit mildly competitive ones.
History
Rynor and Sariel were introduced to each other by their mutual friend Aym Twinhorn in 1493 DR, at a tavern in Waterdeep. They hit off very quickly, bonding over a mutual history adventuring and strong attraction towards each other.
While Sariel's work with the Arrowheads keeps her busy, she finds time to regularly visit Rynor at his townhouse. When Rynor runs low on money, he contacts Sariel to join him adventuring.
Sariel has become the inspiration for the main character of Rynor's "Domeris" series of stories, as the rebel heroine Sybille Luden.
History
Sariel and the Black Viper met when they ran into each other while trying to steal the same painting from a noble's villa. With the guards on their way, they agreed to split the price and both take it. Since then, the two have occasionally met with each other at night to engage in some light thievery. Sariel, however, does not know the Black Viper's true identity, Esvele Rosznar.
History
They were introduced to one another as Meribel began working at the Ardent in 1492 DR. Meribel respects her abilities and confidence in actions. She recognises her importance in the organisation and respects how hard she has worked in and around the Sword Coast. Meribel has recently been much more active in talking to Sariel and has asked her questions about the Storm King's Thunder after reading about it. Sariel has been trying to improve her confidence and help her out with charisma, by asking her questions in mission briefs and passings by.
History
They were introduced to one another as Alana began working at the Ardent in 1492 DR. Alana respects her abilities and willingness to work with shady people and bend the rules. She recognises her importance in the organisation yet doesn't completly trust her. Sariel understands Alana and maintains a respectful distance from her.
History
They were introduced to one another as Damu began working at the Ardent in 1492 DR. Damu respects her abilities and intelligence gathering skills. She recognises her importance in the organisation and her reliability. Sariel appreciates her helpfulness and kindness towards everyone, despite Damu often getting in the way rather than helping.
History
They were introduced to one another as Brave began working at the Ardent in 1492 DR. Brave has respect for her, however is weary of her belief in the Seldarine. He still understands her importance in the organisation and her reliability. Sariel recognises his effort in working out and has taken to watching him run, train, and sun bathe on occasion. She appreciaties his ability to be relaxed around her and reliable.
History
Aym and Sariel met while on assignment for the Harpers, rescuing a captured Harper agent from a minor criminal kingpin in Waterdeep's Dock Ward. While trying to charm the kingpin in a tavern, Sariel was drugged and captured. Aym managed to charm her way past the kingpin's guards, freeing both Sariel and the agent they were sent to rescue.
The half-elf and tiefling spent the next several days and nights getting to know each other before going on a short adventure together. The two became fast friends, and Sariel regularly visits Aym's orphanage in Waterdeep.
History
"Sariel, do you have any 'fashion tips' for me? I think I would look good in a cape."
Sariel and Zelifarn met in mid 1493 DR while the former and Nathxena Fey were investigating Deepwater Harbor at the request of the city government. Zelifarn had discovered a strange metallic vessel at the bottom of the harbour, and request their help in investigating. Sariel immediately assisted the bronze dragon, and the two have been friends ever since.
Since then, Sariel and Zelifarn have spent a significant amount of time getting to know one another and training for adventure. In early 1494, they and Nathxena set out to deal with a number of giant lords still plaguing the Sword Coast. When that was completed, Zelifarn was invited to join the Arrowheads as an honorary member upon its founding.
Nicknames & Petnames
While Zelifarn is still learning the intricacies of humanoid communication, Sariel has already adopted a nickname for her new friend: "Zee" or "Big Zee".
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Sariel and Zelifarn love nothing more than adventuring. Sariel is light and small enough to fit on Zelifarn's back as he flies or swims, and the two of them regularly set out to battle evil-doers and acquire treasure. Sariel also accompanies Zelifarn whenever he visits the underwater communities of Deepwater Harbor, even if her lung capacity limits how long she can stay at once.
Shared Acquaintances
Nathxena Fey is Sariel's girlfriend and an acquaintance of Zelifarn, thanks to her assistance investigating the vessel at the bottom of Waterdeep's harbour. Nathxena has also joined the duo on a quest to rid the Sword Coast of a number of dangerous giant lords. Since the formation of the Arrowheads, they have come to regard Zelifarn as a close ally and friend.
History
Until her early twenties, Sariel had no idea who her father was. Eventually she bumbled her way into the Feywild and to Senaliesse. After giving her name to a guard, she was quickly summoned to her parents' residence, where she had a tearful reunion.
When she visits Senaliesse, Sariel most commonly visits her mother. She occasionally visits her father, but the two are somewhat more distant. Still, the two have a very strong bond. Sariel occasionally surprises her father with her archery skills, but he's still better at it than her.
History

Goodness me! This is a great article, you've got a lot of detail there! I think a lot of people who are bullied for who they are, will further grasp onto their identity, so I sympathise with Sariel wanting to explore her elven side further. It must have been difficult to reunite with her biological parents. I wonder how exactly how that meeting went, and how the court view Sariel's past?
Thank you! I've put a lot of effort into this article. To answer your questions, it was a long and tearful reunion between the three. As for the Summer Court, while they don't view non-Fey as true equals, Sariel is useful to them as an agent.
