Volcrah
Volcrah is one of the four Elemental Gate communities of Exorsia, built around the Elemental Gate of Fire, which connects Exorsia to the Elemental Plane of Fire.
Volcrah is located inside the Avgódrákou Volcano on the island of Scorchland, Terrasmus, built along and on the very walls of the volcano, with the Elemental Gate of Fire situated within the caldera itself.
The inhabitants of Volcrah are responsible for the lack of eruptions from the surrounding volcanoes of Scorchland through the harnessing the Gate's energy and Magic.
Volcrah is one of the smallest of the four Elemental Gate communities, largely due to the harsh environment and the secretive nature of its inhabitants, allowing no visitors without careful vetting.
Due to the community's proximity to the Elemental Gate of Fire, Volcrah has a high population of Fire Genasi. Volcrah also has a majority population of Dragonborn, with Scorchland being the former location of the ancient Dragonborn city of Vracaris.
Government
Volcrah is governed by an elder Archdruid who is commonly chosen from one of the local Dragonborn matriarchs.
Defence
Volcrah is defended by it's dangerous environment, as well as it's population of skilled Druids, Spellcasters and warriors, with their main priority being defending the Elemental Gate of Fire against any unwanted visitors that may journey through.
Commerce
Volcrah has no official trade with the outside world due to its isolated location, almost all the settlements equipment and produce is created and grown locally.
Geography
The village of Volcrah is situated within the caldera of the Avgódrákou Volcano, it's buildings are relatively simple, lacking much grandeur, located along and upon the very walls of the volcano's caldera, connected by layers of spiralling stone walkways.
With the Elemental Gate of Fire located deep within the volcano’s caldera, a sweltering heat radiates upwards, forcing the surrounding buildings to be made from heat resistant stone as not to melt. The intense heat of the volcano is tempered somewhat by a continual Magical shield that is maintained by the population, situated over the Gate itself, useful to protect from the heat and from the Elementals that may pass through the Gate.
