Frinden Desert

Urrudea is a land that lies centrally within Eveynjar. Once the seat of the Wyrolithine Empire, it now sits divided between their descendants, the Psynapsans, and the Ende Rii. Urrudea is dominated by 3 major biomes: the Frinden Desert, the Evona’e’Maroknaa (Land of Brutality), and the Plain of the Remnant. Once, the Land of Brutality was fought over by Yllithr and Empyria, causing such a great and terrible war that the people of Urrudea to pray desperately to Rym-ill for relief. It seemed their prayers were heard when the Ende Rii came, but the brutality had only begun.
The Frinden Desert encompasses the lands of Southeastern Urrudea, forming the largest Desert on Eveynjar, only being out-competed by the LSE of Valoreum. The population of this desert is mostly of Testoideans, Psynapsans, Saurians, Scorpaeus, and other Beastfolk, as the lands are too hot for men or dai. These peoples generally can be found as nomads or in one of the three major cities that are built around massive oases.

Ecosystem

The Frinden Desert is dominated by huge desert known as the Sand Sea and surrounded by a Volcanic mountain range fed by the elemental realm of fire beneath it. Due to this, the Frinden is extremely dry, with cities surrounding a few large oases, though water does exist within the Sand Sea during times of wetness from surrounding regions. During those times, the Sea comes to life, acting more like an ocean than a desert, supporting massive animals adapted to this sand-sea environment. Truly, no environment on earth resembles this, though the closest is in truth the ocean itself.

Fauna & Flora

The Flora and Fauna of the Frinden Desert is highly adapted to its arid, volcanic, and xeric tendencies of this hostile lands. As such, the creatures of the Frinden are are highly equipped at surviving these waterless conditions. Some are prehistoric in nature, though are rare sights in this part of Urrudea. Most are mythical in origin and are adapted for life on the Sand Sea, such as the Sand Cetus, Sand Serpent, Sand Sea Strider, and more devious creatures such as Manticores, Death Worms, and Apophis. Plants in this land are extremely hardy and include Desert Peaches, Cacti, Lost Sunflower, Bitter Melons, and the most notable crop of the region, the Chili Grape.

Natural Resources

The Frinden Desert is known to possess great amounts of Gold and precious gems, and as such produce a large amount of Urrudea's Jewelry. They also produce the best glassware in the world, primarily due to the quality of the sand from the Sand Sea. They are also known for Chili Grape Wine which is a prized wine that comes in the clearest of bottles. It is so valuable that producers of this wine are known to be wealthier than some kings.
