Yllithr
Yllithr is a theocracy run by the elvish race of the Alfudai. Taking over the entirety of Northeastern Eveynjar, it is shrouded with dense jungle, sprawling savannahs, and alpine highlands. Though it does have fewer eco-regions than Indeljar and Empyria, it boasts a much larger population than either. In Elvish, the name means “God Chosen''. It possesses 4 unique zones, including: the Sylsandoral Roshtas-glandor (Rain-forest), the Talashaar atho Ilwe (Plain of Ilwe the Olofir Syn’maare (Olofir Rock-woods), the Meroudean Peninsula.
Geography
Sylsandoral Roshtas-glandor (Rain-forest): The Sylsandoral Roshtas-glandor is the Elvish name for the Common Thicket of Yalathannil. Though the name Yalathannil is elvish, it is not the name the Alfudai and other elves in the region call it, as Sylsandoral, or Syl for short, was the one to originally colonize the region. Overall, this rainforest follows the Rivers of Sidon and Wynather and is easily the largest region of Yllithr.
Talashaar atho Ilwe (Plain of Ilwe): The Talashaar Atho Ilwe is a vast collection of plains, savannahs, and desert found in central Yllithr. Known to be the only way by land into Urrudea, the two nations use the desert as a way to trade. In the center of this region lies the Othromyth Atho Iluwe, or the City of Saints, the capital of Yllithr.
Olofir Syn’maare (Olofir Rock-woods): The Olofir Syn’marre are a collection of forests and forested highlands in Southern Yllithr. Most of these forests are made of slow-growing rockwoods, trees so hard that a pickaxe is needed to chop them down. Though these lands are a part of Yllithr, they are inhabited by the Syndai, who once ruled along the entirety of the Syn’orontied or Stone Mountains.
Meroudean Peninsula: The Meroudean Peninsula is the Western-most province of Yllithr. Consisting of rugged mountains, Conifer Woodlands, swamps, and mediterranean chaparral, these lands make for a diverse area. Though this province is governed by Yllithr, High Elves are sparse in these lands. Instead, the Anguiridai often make these lands their home, and also lay siege to any traders from outside of Yllithr.
Ecosystem Cycles
Due to the warmth the Sea of Eternity brings in from the east, Yllithr generally warm and humid throughout the year, having a cycle of wet and dry seasons rather than the more temperate nations like Empyria and Yandaijar.
Fauna & Flora
The Flora and Fauna of Yllithr are reminiscent of Eurasia during the Eocene, as well as a multitude of mythical and elementally attuned specimens. These beings include prehistoric species such as Platybelodon, Dinofelis, Amphicyon, Ambulocetus, Eohippus, to name a few; mythical specimens such as Whale Trolls, Al-mi'raj, wyverns, akkorokamui, and shen to name a few; and plants such as Arums, Elven-Hemp, Strawberry-Tree, Mandrake, and an assortment of others.
