Guess what! There's a book now! — (MxM, Thriller, Erotic)

Meissner Bug

Meissner Bugs are a primary mode of transportation when other mass transit systems have yet to be established. It is a four-seat vehicle with a large cargo space. Airless tires sit below a meissner assisted engine, allowing for adjustable traction and even small periods of gliding.

First produced by Kimaha Industries for use in colonization effort, the Meissner Bug did well enough to stay a staple of transportation for the centuries to come. While its core design remains the same, the technology behind it has become more and more effecient.

With up to an Eight Liter Engine, all-terrian wheels, and a tried and true Meissner Engine; no matter the destination, the journey will always be better with a Kimaha Bug.

All-Terrian, All the Time.

The Meissner Bug is in the same operation class as most Meissner Trucks, but it is engineered for a much different purpose. While most Meissner Trucks forgo wheels, the Bug keeps them and adds strong suspension. The Meissner engine does not make the vehicle weightless, but instead stabilizes and eliminates unneeded load on the wheels and suspension.

The Meissner Engine is also used to allow some near vertical acension, fjording rivers, or gliding from higher elevations.

Disclaimer: Gliding does not mean flight, please ensure you have enough power to complete any near-vertical or gliding usage.

Crossing Gilgamesh's Rest would be quick trip with the Buggy. Our newest member, an Aen named Josr'r admitted that this was his first time getting into one of these.

He absolutely shouldn't have said that.

We got him to nearly vomit after the third jump off the dunes, flying into the air only to glide back down to the golden sands and gently land as if it was a speedbump.

Nothing beat when we had to travel over the cliffs outside the Sands, between my full throttle, Al's cackling laughter, and Josr'r's terrified screams, it made the whole journey worth it. Pretty sure he kept screamin' til we reached the sand a hundred feet down.

We gave the poor guy a break after that, I could feel his heart verging on rupture.

As we got out, his legs were shaking, but he asked if he could take a turn behind the wheel!

Good lad, Josr'r!

Variations

Slug Bug

A version of the Bug that uses high-grip spiked treads, it has a much longer vertical drive time and capability of maintaining stability in low-friction enviroments.

Warrior Bug

The Warrior is equipped with hardpoints to enable the easy attachment of weapons and combat modules. Popular for Recon in larger militaries.

Water Bug

A special model that adds a hermetically sealed cockpit, snorkle equipment, and a deployable rudder. Can be used to travel on water surfaces for long periods.

Beetle

A compact bug that only allows two people with halfsize dimensions. Perfect for a budget or colonial effort.

Mobility Manifest

The invention of the Meissner Bug came from a Directoriate bounty for a transport vehicle to help serve the Syndicate's Expansion. While several companies heeded the bounty, the first to nail down all the requirements set was the small Kimaha Motor Company. A small customs shop that soon had enough funding for the Bug to set up several factory complexes. The Meissner Bug rapidly became a popular tool of exploration on Syndicate worlds. Larger Corporations often maintained a fleet of the vehicles for use in sattelite locations on far away worlds.

Only after the Kimaha Motor Company was merged into Victory Corp did the prices come down enough to allow colonist usage. The Water Bug was the first variety to be produced by Victory Corp, who used it to explore their worlds that consisted mostly of ocean.

The production of the Bug ceased during The Melancholic Lacuna, as demand for travel plummeted and the assembly plants were refitted for other necessary technology.

Only in the decades after the WayHalls reopened did the Bug make it's comeback.

Good Ideas Spread

In the Banner Era, most banners have their own version of the Bug. Typically sold under different names and with different Specs. Most Banners still call these vehicles the 'Bug' though, even if they were never part of the original manufacturing line still operated by the Syndicate

Toyota Corolla Measurement, that's funny I enjoy that. Also that Disclaimer feels very important and is definitely good to have there. Also 10/10 little short story about our friend Josr'r there, absolutely had a grin with that, very typical sort of ***ing about, definitely done that kind of shit to the 'newbie' before. Brilliant

Thank you for entering the Vehicle special category! It was nice to read your entry. I always love the neat layout and design of your articles. Also, poor lad Josr'r! :'(
If you would like me to feature it (or one of your other articles) on one of my Twitch Livestreams, click here for more info.

I'd love to read one of your articles live on stream and award you a special sticker! If you'd like this, too, feel free to stop by my Twitch channel while I'm live and let me know you're watching in the comments. If you don't have Twitch, the easiest way to reach me is to DM me on Discord (WordiGirl) or join my Infinite Imaginations server. My current schedule is published on my Content & Subscriptions page, but things have been a bit turbulent for me lately. As a result, I have occasionally been unable to stream at posted times. I often do pop-up-surprise streams to make up for it, though, so the best way to be notified is to follow my Twitch channel.

Thanks so much again! God bless and much success with your New Year's Plans!

Hey Wordi! Glad you liked it, and I'm sure Josr'r will laugh about it later!   The Click here for more info does not show anything for me sadly.

Oh wow. that's strange. Perhaps you have something odd going on with spoilers and CSS in your world. I just didn't want to crowd the comments, but I guess I'll put it here below, since you asked.   I'd love to read one of your articles live on stream and award you a special sticker!
