The Eternal Domain Geographic Location in Erthos | World Anvil

The Eternal Domain

The Eternal Domain is the name for the first plane of existence that appeared in the void. Common lore says that there are 15 rings or demi-planes that encircle one another. Scholars debate whether these planes of existence are infinite or if they do loop upon one another like a ring. They encircle the world of Erthos or the material plane. Each demi-plane spins around Erthos at different speeds, making time work differently on each. At times these rings will intersect with one another and this will cause portals to open up; this will also happen with the world of Erthos.

Geography

Each realm in the Eternal Domain is different, dependent on the whims of the spirits who dwell there. If they are powerful enough they can change the geography at will to represent their desires.

Fauna & Flora

Filled with a myriad of spirits who differ greatly from one another. Some reflect the nature of the Mortal plan while others are just strange beings who have been created.

History

The Eternal Domain was created when Essence appeared in the Void and began to form the demiplanes. As Essence began to shape the worlds, creatures began to evolve who were born from the Essence. They were tied to the demiplanes and shaped it to their needs and desires.
