The Spirit of Fear appears as an ethereal, lithe woman who wears a shawl which covers her face. Her mouth seems to be forced shut but will open to reveal a black abyss like a never ending hole. Often they are confused with ghosts but they do not haunt places or people. Instead they exist to frighten mortals, using their fear as a food and power source.
